Default I need help!

I am so disappointed in myself since I keep going up and down 15-20 pounds in weight year after year. I did so well last year and now back to square one. I am just lacking serious motivation and just wish that I was able to hit the gym right after work before going home but do not have that option. So by the time the hubby gets home and my daughter is in bed, its 8pm and I am tired! I know that's not an excuse but that's what I keep telling myself. Sorry for the pitty party just needed to vent! Hope you guys are having a better day than I am!

Why cant you workout in the morning? _________ <-- (insert excuse here)

Seriously, if you want it badly enough you WILL find a way. Wake up one hour earlier in the am so you DO have time. Your body will adjust to the new schedule. I, myself, am DONE at 3:00 pm..... done mentallly, physically, you name it.. i understand not wanting to workout at night. so, guess what? Im at the gym by 5 am....... it works

Well I already get up at 5am so I can get ready for work before my daughter gets up at 6am. Then I head out the door at 7:30am. I just need to workout at night even though I am tired and just suck it up!!

Mitza, I totally understand! I am up at 3am, off to work by 5:30am, don't get home until around 5:30pm, and then time to work out. 3 kids are not an obstacle for me, it's having 2 of them being disabled, so have learned to incorporate more things I can do without going to the gym (since the nearest is another 45 min drive away). I use an elliptical in the house now, before I was able to afford that, I got a travel trailer for my bike so that my daughter (the one I couldn't leave at home) could ride in that while I pedaled I would also put her in a wheelchair and head off for a walk, she didn't mind so bad at dusk so she didn't feel like people were looking at her (horrible stigma being in a wheelchair). I also did crunches and things during evening tv time... they were watching the tv show and mom was watching on the rug doing her crunches, lol. There are lots you can do, just have to get more creative sometimes... then you get it in before you totally wear out for the night... it is also a great wind-down from the day. Hope maybe that helps?

Mitza - life can sure be hectic! I completely understand! I was working 12-15 hours a day 6-7 days a week and I was eating junk food and not working out. I realized that work was literally killing me. So I spoke with my boss & set up a schedule so I could get some exercise in. Also I bought an elliptical, it was expensive approx $800 but it was THE best move i have ever made. I used to not go to the gym because it was far and took a lot of time to get there and set up & back again, then shower, etc… Now I just watch my favorite show and work out - the machine is very quiet and I don't have an excuse anymore. And I actually use it all the time now!

Ok so got off my pity train and did something about my situation. I signed up for a gym near my work so I can at least work out there three days a week since I work part-time. Plus I will be running outside two additional days in the week. Signed myself up for an 8k in Oct and then for a 10k in Nov. Started eating healthy all weekend to start this week out great. So now there are no more excuses and I can get my fat *** into shape again! Thanks for all your support!

You sound like me! I'm glad you made the decision to just do it! I have been going through the same thing and today I just decided it's going to be the day that I quit being lazy. I know that once I get back to working out I will have more energy.

Morning workouts are difficult for me too because I also get up at 5 AM, wake my 3 year old up at 6 and we are out the door by 6:30. I then go to work from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and am home by 5 PM. That's already a 12 hour day and I am exhausted.

Today after work I have to go to the grocery store to prepare for company arriving tomorrow and help my husband clean out the garage, but I am still going to take time to do a workout video or just go for a 30 minute walk.

Good luck!

Well so far so good. Hit the gym again today at lunch so that's three times this week and I am going running with a friend on Sunday. So happy that I will be able to get in 4 good workouts this week, along with sticking to my diet. Thanks for all the support!
