Default Like Frappuccinos?

I'm not normally a starbucks fan, but their seasonal fraps get me. I'm ALWAYS tempted to buy those. I was staring at an ad for the new Coconut one the other week and came up with this recipe at home.

One of my new favourite things to do with Fage 2% is to freeze a single serving of it, then do the following:

-microwave the fage(uncovered, opened) for 20 seconds to loosen it from the package enough to slide out into your blender - 150 cals

-add 1 cup drinkable coconut milk(like Silk brand) - 80 cals

-add in a tbsp or two of instant coffee(I use 2, because I like it strong tasting) -10 cals

-add in 2 tbsp of UNSWEETENED cocoa powder, dark or regular - 20 cals

-add in a few pumps(to taste) of a flavoured sugar-free syrup(like Torani brand). I use coconut, gingerbread, caramel, or peppermint to make different kinds. I will be trying the Pumpkin Spice soon, too. THIS is what makes it taste just like Starbucks Fraps! - 0 cals

-add in a couple ice cubes and blend.

This will make almost an entire blender full of delicious frappuccino @ 260 cals. You can drink the whole thing(if it fits into your calorie budget) or split it up into 2 large(or a number of smaller) servings!

The protein in this will fill you up, and actually makes it a fairly good larger sized snack.

didn't know they brought back the coconut frappuccino... people always told me how good it was, now I'm tempted to try it, lol.

Not sure if I'll try the real thing, but I will definitely try out your version... I like the idea of the yogurt to give it more protein and the real coconut milk to get some of the healthier fats in there(and not more of the bad fats from the milk and cream like in the starbuck's).

In case anyone else can't find the coconut flavored syrups locally, there's a coconut flavored extract by mccormick that's in most baking aisles that would work with this recipe.

Fage is a greek style yogurt. You could use any of the greek yogurts, Chobani, Dannon, etc.

This sounds delicious!! is that a 6ounce fage? It'd be cool to use a strawberry one or something. MMm coconut, strawberries AND chocolate AND coffee! I will be doing this.
I personally would make some super strong coffee and throw that in, that's just me. I know it would thin it out a little bit, but that's okay! But lovely cold treat on hot summer days that seems QUITE reasonable!

It's the 7 oz fage 2% that I've been using, though I do occasionally just eyeball it out of the larger packages that I buy.
I've been making these every day for the past couple weeks. lol

The raspberry sugar-free syrup worked great with it, too.

If anyone is interested in the Torani syrups, you can get them in a few grocery stores, but World Market has a great selection. Also, online:

coupon code for torani(currently has one for 20% off the sugar free syrups)

I have all the ingredients now. Well, I decided on almond milk instead of coconut. Could do regular milk, but meh.
I think I will make one tomorrow..maybe even for breakfast :P

Wow! That is awesome! I usually eat the 0% fat Fage for 100 calories, so I might give that a go! Thanks!

I'm thinking it would taste just as good since the greek yogurt is so creamy and delicious!
