Yes, I had a planned cheat day 1 week ago today- 30 year class reunion. I had been on plan since Jan. I had a milkshake, hamburger with a bun, some salads with pasta, some potatoes, and vodka. How did it affect me? I felt awful for 2 days- headache, terrible gas and abdominal pain. I gained a pound for the week as well. It was miserable.

I did the diet for 4 month 2 years ago and never cheated once, my coaches told me it would get me out of ketosis and I would be wasting 4/5 days worth of money/IP Packets to get back into ketosis. That was enough for me to stay on the straight.

You might have withdrawals again depending on what you cheat with and how much of it you eat, You could get nausea or headaches. You will set yourself back a few days defiantly even if you don't have any side effect. You won't necessarily gain weight but you will stop the weight loss till you get back into ketosis.

My advice DON'T DO IT, test your will power and get passed it one cheat could lead to another then another etc.

Good Luck!

I did...twice. The first was an all out pig out. I didn't feel awful at all, but it set me back a full week on the program.
The second time was a smaller set back, but still, is wasting my time and making it so I need to stay on the program in phase one that much longer.

If you do the diet in the correct format and each phase properly, the REWARD in food terms is that you can have planned cheat days as your regular week.

Overall, I keep telling myself it is a short time frame in perspective to your life.

When I feeeeeel I need to "cheat" now, I am using an extra restricted food, or jazzing up a regular packet to feel more full or satisfied. It seems to not affect my weight loss as long as it isn't every night, and I do exercise almost every day too, which I think helps.

Good luck...stay the course. I'm working it and it does take effort!

I ended up cheating a little when I went camping last week. It was mostly because others were doing the cooking and didn't trim fat or anything. I managed to lose .6lbs that week. That is really bad for me. It takes days to get back to loosing weight.

I just cheated during a vacation, it was planned. More or less it stalled me as I only lost .2 and it was two alcoholic drinks low carb, over two days. One each night as a splurge with a friend. I wasn't to hard on myself as it was the only cheat I've planned....
