Wink Anyone else trying to lose a person?

Hey y'all! So I am just "re-joining" the community. I had already had my account set-up, I was just never very active over here. I am ready to get down and dirty to get this weight off. I have about 90 lbs to lose -_-...hence my title. That's like losing a child/teen!!! *sigh*

Anyway, I'm just looking to network with a few buddies to cheer me on when I'm feelin down and be excited with me when I'm doing great :-). I'm a great cheerleader myself for others...just not so much when it comes to myself.

A little background on myself: I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis so it's always been VERY easy for me to gain, and hard as heck to lose. I keep cycling naturally to gain a bunch and then it randomly will fall off. I am not going to wait this time though, because maybe my autoimmune disease isn't going to spurt my thryoid off again to lose the weight without trying. When I was about 21, I had gotten up to about 200 lbs, and the weight just came off on it's own without dieting by the time I was 23 or so. *shrug* But I'm gonna do it myself now at 26!

I look forward to "meeting" some of you and keeping up.
<3 Sara

I'll join in as well! I have 33 pounds left to lose; it may not sound like much in theory but I'm absurdly lazy and lack extreme motivation. YOU CAN DO THIS THOUGH. We all can with the help of our friends on 3FC!

Yes!! I have bare minimum 120 lbs total to lose, but i've lost 50 already so more like 60 lbs to lose now. I am pretty sure that I'm going to go down to 170 though which means I will have a total of 150 lbs lost at goal. I know WOW thats an adult person! I also have pcos which means its REALLLYYYY easy to gain and excruciating to lose! Like 1 lb a week hard when at my weight I SHOULD be able to easily pull 3 lbs a week. Welcome back to the boards! I can't wait to get to know you more!

I've got an entire adult to lose. It'll probably end up being somewhere around 150 pounds. So... yep. You aren't alone

I'm losing an entire adult as well! 140 pounds...I like to think of it in smaller increments, so I set out minigoals in 20 lb increments (except for my two goals of onederland and no longer obese). Let's all lose people together!

devnet - I'm sure you'll get there

elizabethyellow - talking about laziness...I think if you looked in the dictionary my photo would be right next to yours! lol I am hoping that losing a few lbs will give me some energy back to do more.

SMSDREAMER - I have a friend that has pcos as well, and she struggles with her weight. I can deff sympathize having an autoimmune disease too...it's tough. But at least we know we have to work 3 times harder to lose the same amount of weight and it will make reaching goal that much sweeter!

Lovely - best of luck to you!

chloe - omg I cannot WAIT to be considered just "over weight" and not "obese" ...how sad is that? lol!! And what a day it will be to get back in to that oh so wonderful "normal" range *dreamy siiiiigghhhh* .....

I completely understand -- I myself have lost 295lbs (and regained 35lbs since) -- but when i was my lowest I was at dinner with an ex-gf and her friend and we figured out that I had lost more than both of them weighed...

It can be done -- I promise.. it takes time.. and patience..

Also, when you get there -- don't make the same mistake as I did and let some of it creep back on you!

You can do it!

Yep. I'm aiming for 100 first, then see how it is. But really? I could go for a bit more after that.

So you are not the only one.

GL!

Hey Sara! Welcome back into the fold. Congrats on recommitted to your health! I know it seems tough, but we'll all be here to support you.

As a side note, my original goal was to lose 92 lbs. I've still got almost 30 to go before I reach that goal, and I think I'm going to go for at least another 8 lbs more after that. Lose a person? Completely possible.
