Default Patting myself on the back...

Today was my sons 6th birthday party and i served cake and did not even have a little piece or any ice cream! I stayed on program all on my own! I am so proud of myself!

Its little moments like this that add up to success! Congrats!

I was out today with my friend Kate (who recently got dumped and was crying and miserable). She is normal size and wanted Burger King. I went in there with her and didn't get anything. I waited till later and picked up some healthy thai take out.

It probably has been 6 or 7 months since I had fast food.

WAY TO GO Matt and Julie!! You both had huge successes today and should be very proud of that!! It's things like that that help us to break the cycle of eating that got us to be overweight to begin with. Each time you make a choice like you did today, it's a huge step towards a permanent life change.

Keep up the great work!!

Julie and Matt...that's great that you had the willpower to do that! If you're like me, I'm sure it wasnt easy. I ALMOST had a moment but then blew it. Last nite, both kids were gone so hubby and I went out to eat. He had hamburger steak smothered with gravy and grilled onions, french fries, bread and salad. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and had some of his onions with it. I was all proud of myself until on the way home, he decides we need dessert. Ended up stopping and having a strawberry sundae afterwards. It was sooo good but 5 min later, I was thinking..Why on why did I do that?.

Keep up the great work and I'll keep trying to make it to the point ya'll are at.

Miki

HOooray for you both! Isn't it wonderful...and I'm always amazed that no one really notices if you're not pigging out too. I used to think an alarm would go off if I declined dessert!

Decline dessert? Those words make sense seperatly but together?

I'm a sweets fiend! My sushi place serves tempura fried strawberries over ice-cream. OMG! To die for!
