I'll try to watch this one. I saw the one, like, 3 or so weeks ago where there were 2 women on there, like, 'fat activists sort of, and the crowd was really fat bashing on them, so I changed the channel. Kinda like that pro-anorexic site online that I saw a few days ago, one of the "Reasons for being thin" was "because it's gross seeing fat people working out in a gym." Now somebody tell me if my head's not quite on very well, but isn't that how us 'fat people' get THIN in the first place, by working out? Some of those sites really surprised me, the things they were talking about.

Dr. Phil - you either love him or hate him. I am in the hate category. I think he's a pompous, sanctimonious windbag.

I can tolerate him in small doses. That last Oprah show w/the people who'd lost all that weight really inspired me, I want Dr P's show to do the same.

Susan Powter has some VERY strong opinions about him (actually she has strong opinions about almost everything and everyone). I like him but she did have a slightly valid point about him. Why do women listen to an overweight man for weightloss advice? While I don't consider him 'fat' he is a little plump or , at the very least, lushly upholstered. I do think he has some good advice though. I tend to believe that most of my weight issues have roots in something other than food. I do like to eat. I love the taste of most foods but I am not convinced that ALL of my weight issues are rooted there. And he IS a psychologist. He can get a little abrupt though.

He can be VERY abrupt. I sent my tape into him a while back and then was scared to death he'd actually call.

He may not be "skinny" or buff, but he is what I would call normal and his weight is in control. Mine, on the other hand, is not.

I know what he has to say can be hard to hear sometimes, but is it because it's the truth? A truth that others are too kind to say. Too kind to lay it on the line. It is for me most of the time. He says the true stuff that I can't admit to myself.

Default Funny skits about Dr. Phil

If you want some Dr. Phil humor whether you hate him or like him. MAD TV which comes on where I live a half hour before Saturday Night Live on Fox quite often has skits where they play up on some of Dr. Phil's habits. Oprah is in disguise usually then 'busts' Dr. Phil for being over the top shall we say. Pretty funny usually.

There was a website that had a Dr Phil Quote Generator. It spit out stuff like, "You don't need $5 to go take a swim in Lake Jackass". I'll have to see if I can find it when I get home.

I just finished watching the show and it was great. I don't know what my 10 defining moments are though. I do know that I use food as a crutch though. It has a soothing effect just as Dr. Phil said.
