Default Dipping a toe....

.... and waving shyly at the same time. Heck, the number of times I've said this year, "Hello, I'm back (again)!" is annoying me, never mind anyone else.

My depression has been killer this year, I'm usually fine when spring hits.
My job - not sure about long term future - not that I'm getting fired, just don't know if I'm in the right place.
My dogs, my dear old doggies. One of the four had got really frail mentally but was still quite physically fit, so we kept on and on; until I finally had to have her put to sleep about 10 days ago. This compounded by having had to have put one of the others to sleep just 2 days earlier, his was a sudden collapse. What a heartbreak, the house is very quiet.

Anyway, the depression's been lifting; not so much because I'm not in canine intensive care mode but because I've had so many things I've Had to sort out, and activity always makes me better.

I had some great feedback work-wise, and have been invited to an event at Westminster Abbey next month. My little black dress ain't so little any more, so I'm telling myself I'm going to commit to a month. Sure, it needs to be about 10 months + permanent maintenance, I know that; but that's overwhelming at the moment. A month. Even I can manage a month.

London! I haven't been in nearly 40 years! (Except to catch planes and trains)

So incredibly sorry to hear that so many things are piling up on you at the moment. I truly hope the fog does lift soon and you find the commitment to refocus on your goals and dreams. I wish you the best of luck!

(And remember...we'll ALWAYS be here for you! No matter how many times you have to restart.)

Rosinanate, it's always good to see you; I'm not always diligent about 3FC posting these days either.

Don't worry! We still love you. Cherish your other pooches whilst mourning those that passed, and make sure you take care of yourself too.

Awww, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your two dogs. Dogs, cats, whatever animal you become attached to really does become a part of your family, and they leave just this void once they're gone. I miss my dogs someday's, and though it's been years it makes me tear up a little when a good memory surfaces.

As for the weight, you know....think of it as a mini vacation, and now you're getting back to work. The fact that you are willing to continue, and to fight to loose the weight is fantastic! I wish you the best of luck.

Welcome back, and congratulations on a day of full sticktoitiveness!

I am so sorry to hear about your beloved dogs. It's by far the toughest thing about having pets--they don't have human lifespans. I greatly admire your resolve to be here and working on keeping yourself healthy despite heartbreak and a rough time with depression. You have some serious steel in your backbone, and I know it's going to result in a healthier you.

So glad to see you. The beau noticed that I wasn't checking in on 3FC as much anymore and I told him it was because folks like you were MIA. So glad to catch up with where you are in life's journey. Guess I'll have to log on more regularly again and get back in the groove myself. I'm quite sure my ticker is wrong, haven't the nerve to go weigh in on my "official" scale.
