Unhappy I know I shouldn't be discouraged but...

I've been completely on plan, more than enough water, plenty of exercise and the scale has barely moved in a week. I'm bummed. I have so much more to lose and I'm just feeling down...

I've had times when the scale hasn't budged and it is beyond frustrating. There are so many factors that can keep it that way...the heat, water retention due to PMS or muscle repair, a large loss the week before that wasn't actually real but now your body is making it real, etc. Just hang in there...this is where many people throw in the towel but I can guarantee that if you ask a lot of people who have reached their goals if they ever had a stall, I am sure they will say that the have. You have already lost 16 lbs. and that's a huge accomplishment. Hang in there and you will see more come off!

Thanks, luckymommy. It's just so damn frustrating. I'll stick with it. I have to.

I feel your pain. I'm dealing with a similar stall and know from my own past experiences, that this is usually when I fall off the proverbial wagon. But since I am determined to get this weight off once and for all, instead of giving up, I'm looking for ways to power through it. This week I'm lowering my calorie intake by 100 calories to see if that makes a difference. If not I will try upping them by 100.

I agree with luckymommy that it could be from a variety of reasons and that you shouldn't worry I'm sure you'll start losing again. Congrats on your 16 pounds. Stay positive!

I know. It's frustrating. But one week... it's not a long time. Most people have to think about losing weight over the course of months and years. One week is just a blip on the calendar.

It's why it can be easier for some to just take it one day at a time. Healthy choices are not the means to an end... healthy choices ARE the end. They are the goal. A goal you're achieving each day. One day at a time.

I JUST broke a 4 week plateau!!!!!!

Just because you didn't lose this week or next week or whatever, doesn't mean you'll never lose again (unless of course you throw in the towel)

a friend told me that stalls are maintenance in training. You'll get there!

That's a great way to look at it.

I know what you mean. I weigh my self everday because I felt like I was not loosing. My dam period isnt helping either and my weigh in is tomorrow. Im just hoping a I shed a pound or 2. Uggh, when it gets frustrating you think its because your not doing enough and thats how I feel. We just need to keep our heads up and keep pushing we can do better this week.

They'll be many stalls along the way...some short, some long...try not to stress too much about it...you'll push thru them. Main thing, don't give up.

I honestly don't know if I would lower those calories just yet. Our bodies are strange and sometimes they just have their own schedule. Just stick with it...follow your plan and the weight will come off. Sooner or later!

i've been there. believe me. my advice would be keep doing EXACTLY what you are doing and stay OFF the scale....if you keep doing what you are doing you WILL see results! I promise...just don't let the scale be your gage....

Just keep going...it will come off. You have to be patient!! it is not going to happen overnight...I have to tell myself the same thing everyday.
