Thumbs up Week 1 and BIG loss!

YAY!!!! Today was the start of my second week so this morning I did my first weigh in after I started on the 16th. I have lost 6.2LBS this first week! I am so proud of myself. I kicked my soda habit....which was HUGE! Several 20ozs a day PLUS filling my big 52oz mug dubbed "bladder buster" at 711 with soda. That was such a bad daily habit! LOL Also I havent had any candy or fast food all week. Put together with eating more healthy choices. I havent stepped up the exercise yet as I have been working 12 hour shifts. However I have started to try and be more active at work by walking more and taking the stairs instead of the elevator. At least till my legs are jello!

Congrats on kicking the fast food and soda habit. That in itself is a big accomplishment. I have only managed to get down from 2 of the two liters a day to one glass.

Keep up the good work.

Congrats on the week 1 loss. Use this as a driving force now, dont slack off at all, if anything up it more. my starting weight is exactly yours (0.8lb) difference and I am 8 weeks in and down 40 lbs, so keep going and if you are tempted to cheat just think of how it will jeopardise your good start, and say no to it! But congrats on the loss and keep up the good work!

Congrats, that's is an amazing start. I havent had any soda in about 3months it isn't that bad. I drink lots of water and little bit of crystal light. As for the no fast food part that is also awesome. I havr fast food once this month and haven't since. You can loose lots of weight from cutting both out. Walking up the stairs and every where is a great start. Keep up the work. You will see more reaults soon. What have you been doing as in food wise?

Thank you everyone

Skye....I have had to really overhaul my eating habits as I am no longer allowing myself to eat junk food and fast food. I have been eating a LOT of salads....I try and eat one of those small salad bags a day. I add either fish or chicken to it for protein. Also been doing more fruits and veggies as snacks. I try and get the most bang for my calories. I also have been alternating calories between 1300 calories and 1800 calories. This way my body is tricked into thinking I am not cutting down. Also I have a very physical job so I have to try and keep going on those long shifts. I use a Fat Secret calorie counter app on my blackberry. Its really great because I know what I can have and on the days when I have been really good...I know when I need to eat even MORE then I already had. Week #2 is finished now and I have slacked a bit more....I dont want to lose the weight TO fast then have problems later on. However I still lost 3LBS!

Thank you ryeb! It sure does! I think its funny because EVERY week no matter if I have been good or bad....I get scared that I wont see the numbers change or that for some reason it will go UP! LOL It is SO exciting to see it come down...no matter how small of a drop it is.

Faith....If I can do it so can YOU!!! If you need a buddy I am willing to lend my support! We are all in this together!
