Default I need a plan... vacation in July.

Ok. So I think we're going to Vegas on July 10. If I lose 3 pounds a week I can hit my goal July 6. I'm assuming that will only happen if I stay in Phase I all the way to my goal. Which I am actually wanting to do anyway. However... what happens if I am in Phase I until July 6 and then start Phase II on July 7 and go to Vegas on July 10 for 3 nights? I don't expect to just gorge myself, but I want to enjoy. Will I be sick the whole trip if I am not used to "real" food?

I plan to ask my coach tomorrow, but thought I'd ask a lot of you since I know many of you have been on vacation through this. I am fine stopping short of my ideal goal and preparing my body a little for vaca and then hitting Phase I bootcamp when I get back if I need to. TIA!

You can do two things:

1) Go off for a the duration of the vacation, and eat what you want.
2) Do the best you can to stay on program while you're there.

If you go nuts on the carbs and the fat doing option 1, you might be in some pain. (DO NOT overeat. Trust me on this one. Stop when you're full.) If you still eat basically healthy, you'll probably be ok.

But *definitely* ask your coach. :-)

I was in Vegas during week 1. I just stuck to the plan while enjoying an IP friendly meal each evening. We asked for a refrigerator in our room and kept water & RTD's. So I guess if it were me, I'd do option 2.

I am in the same boat. I am going to Vegas June 20 and my coach just planned on phasing me off early enough so I would be in Phase 4 when I went. then wen I get back I will start in again. My goal is 100 pounds and have reached halfway. He said you will really mess it up if you stop cold turkey and go on vacation and eat carbs and drink alcohol. It will kick you in the butt so it will not be worth it. I want to have a drink or two and not worry about my packets so this is my plan. Hope I can make it through the week without too much of a set back. But I am committed to getting back on after I return no matter how hard it is. It is worth it!!!

Thanks everyone! I will talk to my coach tomorrow. Let him know my goals and expectations for the vacation (I want to eat... like fruit and cheese and stuff). I don't intend to gorge myself, and I plan to stay away from soda. I'll post here what he recommends I do just in case anyone is interested.

I just got back from my trip to Disney last week and at the recommendation of my coach I phased off as well. I can tell you from experience that for me, it wasn't worth it. Although I phased off correctly, I still ended up feeling like crap (both physically and psychologically), had a mild to moderate headache every day (I'm guessing due to the sugar), and just didn't enjoy myself as much as I thought I would because of how I was feeling. If I had a chance to do it all over again, I would have stayed OP. Just wanted to share my experience.

Thank you! I will definitely keep that in mind. I wish I wanted to stay OP. Maybe my coach will convince me?
