Default I know SB doesn't require calorie counting, but...

I was just wondering for those of you that do, how many cals do you have each day?

I only recently started counting (Feb 18). I use livestrong and just plugged in my information. It spit out a number which decreases a little bit with every pound I lose. I know nothing about the science of it. I just decided I would try what they suggested and see what happened. I also log my exercise and it ups my calories, although I try not to take those numbers for granted (ie: eat them all up every day).

My suggested calories for a 53 yr old, 5'5", Light Activity, before exercise is 1110, if I say I want to lose 2# per week. If I want to lose 1# per week the calories are quite a bit higher...of course, I haven't been perfect foodwise, either. I find I try pretty hard to track right and to stay within my range.

I've lost 14# since I started on Feb 18. That works for me.

I started tracking calories when I wasn't losing on phase 2 after several weeks. I am 5'6" and 146.4 lbs. I am using fitday and eating between 1400 and 1500 calories a day and losing 1.5 to 2 lbs a week. I am staying op with SBD otherwise but keeping to that calorie range.

I have just started paying attention to calories and let me tell you that I was shocked at first to see how fast they added up. I'm still very new in this area but think I do best when eating between 1,200 to 1,400 per day.

I aim for 1500/day. My Fitness Pal gave me this number and it is working reasonably well for me.
