We have a 'candystore' in the breakroom that I have to walk by to clock in, clock out, get my healthy food out of the fridge, get to my locker..you get the point...but it's really really really hard to not take a piece here and there...

Following any specific plan: Counting calories, and turbojam right now into turbofire when I'm done the rotation of turbojam.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Wedding! I don't want to look like the Michelin Man in a dress on my wedding day! Plus my arm fat is woah heinous right now...and it needs to go!

First name: Chelsi

Geographical location: Florida

Children/Ages: None

Occupation: Student (getting RN degree)

Pets: Dog named Donovan and Cat named Chester

Hobbies/Interests: Soccer, theme parks, writing, music, movies.

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: Jan 2010

Starting Weight: 235

Present Weight: 195

Goal Weight: 140

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Probably the mentality. Its difficult to work really hard to lose weight and have it come off very slowly. Trying to stay positive about it is hard.

Following any specific plan: Working out 5 days a week and eating right.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I know what its like to be thin. I had been overweight most of my life then i lost a lot of it in high school and became a normal weight. I then gained it all back plus more in college because of bad eating habits and depression. Its a blessing and a curse.

Anything else you would like to share with us: I think i covered most of it all...

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Not eating after 8pm. It was so hard at first because I am used to eating a late dinner anyway, but now I make sure dinner is never later than 8pm and I ALWAYS do my workout by 10pm and I do not eat ANYTHING after dinner, just drink water.

Following any specific plan: I do a mix of Running/Jogging/Walking every night around 9-10 ish. I use a Pedometer app on my iPod and it counts my steps and calories burned for me. So far I am doing 3500 steps a night, but tonight I got to 4500 steps =)

Geographical location: Brooklyn, NY

Age: 21

Children/Ages: 0

Occupation: Student

Pets:

Hobbies/Interests: Reading, surfing the web, trying out new recipes, Dance Dance Revolution, needlepoint, crafts

Height: 5'4''

Eye/Hair Color: Boring brown

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: October 2010

Starting Weight: 200

Present Weight: 169

Goal Weight: 140

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I love food! It is so hard to control myself! Also, I hate exercising and as a full time graduate student, I don't have much time to devote to exercising anyway.

Following any specific plan: South Beach Diet

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: When I finally hit the 200 pound mark, it was a wake up call for me that I have to take charge of my life instead of allowing the pounds to creep up every year.

First name: Kelly

Geographical location: Connecticut

Age: 24

Marital Status: single

Children/Ages: n/a

Occupation: currently unemployed

Pets: Tank (bearded dragon), Fiona (ferret), Madrox (ferret), BD ( full name Belladonna, ferret)

Hobbies/Interests: My interests are constantly shifting, but I always love reading, puzzles, crafts/arts, animals, and video games.

Height: 5'10"

Eye/Hair Color: Green eyes and brown hair

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: March 28, 2011

Starting Weight: About 300... I'll know a more exact number when I pick up batteries for my Wii Balance Board

Present Weight: 300

Goal Weight: 180

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I live with two good male friends and I've gotten into the habit of eating like they do and exercising as little as they do, which works just fine to maintain their weight, but is horrible for me.

Following any specific plan: For now I'm cutting down on the portions I eat and walking. In the past year I've been having back trouble, so I need low impact to start off. I can't wait for the day that I can do P90X. I tried it for a while when I was staying with a friend and it was so much fun!

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: In the past I wasn't doing this for myself, it was to affect how others saw me. Now I'm scared of how bad I've let it become, the effect that it is having on my health, and how much it is holding me back from doing things that I love.

Hi guys!

First name: Jae

Geographical location: Canada

Age: 21

Marital Status: single

Children/Ages: nope

Occupation: student

Pets: temporarily 1 cat via my roommate

Hobbies/Interests: movies, good TV (HBO/Showtime/AMC and all the stupid reality tv), design and architecture, fashion and make up, music, alcohol

Height: 5'4"

Eye/Hair Color: brown/black

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: Dec 2009

Starting Weight: 238lbs at my heaviest

Present Weight: 170

Goal Weight: 140

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: to stop self-sabotaging my success and giving up because I get scared all the changes. Now I'm embracing the person I'm going to become through this journey.

Following any specific plan: Just calorie counting for the moment. I'm also trying to squeeze in walking whenever I can. I might try Weight Watchers later on.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I'm so over being fat. I've been this way my whole life and I finally woke up and saw what the big picture is. Also, I became a vegetarian the same time I started my weightloss and that's helped change my relation ship with food in a big way! I'm not dependent on food anymore and can say honestly that old lifestyle "isn't me".

Anything else you would like to share with us: done for now
