Hey, guys. I know this is an older sticky, but I want to contribute my new good smoothie find. I saw some frozen rhubarb at the store, and picked up some frozen strawberries, and needless to say, it got my wheels turning. Strawberry rhubarb pie is good, right? Well, so are stawberry rhubarb smoothies.
1/2 cup rhubarb (35 cals)
2/3 cup strawberries (50 cals)
1 cup almond milk or skim milk (I choose almond milk because it's 40 cals a cup if you get unsweetened)
2 tablespoons splenda
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup water
This is delcious! Try it sometime. Rhubarb and strawberries are both great for you not to mention the added vitamins and low carbiness of the almond milk (or protein in reg. milk).
