Default I feel all "pebbly" under my skin

About 30 lbs into the weight loss, I started noticing when I put lotion on my arms that I felt subcutaneous soft pebbles all over. I'm feeling it even more now, on my torso in some places. I have to push down a little to feel it. Can't see the pebbles. Just feel them.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Yes, I know exactly what you mean, and I've always pictured them as firm little globules of yellow fat, kind of like the fat that I find when I'm handling raw chicken. Because that's what I think they are. They're especially dense in areas that seem to be stubbornly hanging onto fat deposits, like my upper arms & the slight overhang just above my navel.

I've heard that fat gets like this during its last stand, before it starts dissipating. I sincerely wish that were so, but I don't know if that's "bro science" or a myth or what.

Gosh, that "last stand" sounds good! Like it's ready to make a hasty getaway! So wish it were true.

Thanks for the validation!

Keep losing and you'll lose those too. I used to have several of those in my arms. All gone now.

Gross. I never noticed that I had them until I read this post. Lets just hope these fat pebbles are on the way out. In any case, take comfort in knowing there's less of that stuff in your body now than there was at the beginning of your weight loss journey.

Wow, I used to wonder what those "pebbles" were. I'm feeling for them on my stomach right now but I can't find them so I guess they're gone? I'll check them tomorrow to make sure. Hah!

Thank you for posting! I thought I had some tumors in my thighs! I hope they do go away!
