Default Stomach Flu Gain

Sort of a rant here but why is it that when others are sick they lose but I gain?!

I got sick with the stomach flu on Monday, being the silver lining person I am I think "well I'm at least gonna lose a pound or two from this."

The first day I'm down to 186 I'm like woo hoo *barf* lol. I probably ate 500 calories that day.

Then the next day is just as bad I can barely hold down anything I think at most I get in another 500 calories And yes I'm miserable the whole time.

Last night I felt much better and I believe I got in around 1200-1300 calories.

This morning I just peak at the scale 192.5!

WHAT HAPPENED?! Geez can I just lose 1 freaking pound for all the misery I went through for three days?

Today I'm eating normally again but it just frustrated me.

Tell me I'm crazy and it's happened to you too! I mean I guess my body's been holding on to everything, maybe I got slightly dehydrated? I don't know WHAT exactly, but all I know is I wish I could have stayed in the 180s!

I hope you feel better ASAP. I haven't been sick recently (knock on wood) but I would think your body might just be bloated. There's no way you GAINED weight but I know how annoying a bad weigh-in can be.

You'll see the 180 again soon.

I'm sorry to hear it, Beerab. I hope you're feeling better.

I also have the stomach flu this week and I lost 5 lbs already, but I really haven't eaten anything until today. I mean, zero calories. I'm finally drinking ginger ale and crackers and I'm secretly hoping I'll keep some of these lbs off!!!

I had the stomach flu and ate crackers and 7 up for two days (7 up does have empty calories...I can't do the taste of "diet" when I"m sick...but I was still well below my normal calorie intake for the day.) Then I felt better, then TOM started. When I weighed in that Friday I was down about a lb since the week before. Not sure if it was because of TOM or the flu that I didn't lose more...but oh well. I am just happy not to be going through that misery anymore.
