Default new scale? What kind?

I am thinking of buying a new scale. Mine can vary by weight as much as six pounds, which is driving me crazy.

Does anyone have an opinion of what kind of scale to get? I don't want to spend a lot of money...also, do you prefer digital, or the old fashioned kind with the little lines.

I have the kind with the lines now, and I think I may want to try digital. I have trouble reading the lines.

Thanks,
Sherry

I have a digital scale, but it's a cheap one. I think I paid $14 for it at K-Mart. It also isn't the greatest. I only weigh once a week, and I have to calibrate it by putting two 10-lb. weights on it to see what it reads.

If you want to get a quality scale, be prepared to spend upwards of $60.

Yeah, a digital scale will make you think you've lost 10# in one week.

I have a decent scale and it's digital. My brother gave me his scale and it has the fat % on it, but I haven't played with it yet.

I have always wanted a doctors scale, but am too cheap to buy one!!

Hi,

I bought a healthometer digital scale at Kmart yesterday for thirty five dollars.

I stupidly weighed myself late in the afternoon-don't ever do that!!!!

This one seems to be consistent in the readings. I'll get the same one three times in a row. My old scale would range six pounds in three readings!

thanks for the advice.
