Talking Get me out of the 260's

I couldn't find a 260's thread, so I thought I would start one. I really need the support. Anybody else in the 260's wanna get out of them together.

I just got to 269 yesterday, while it feels great, I want to be in the 250's real soon.
I hope that increasing my walking will help. I am up to 5 miles/day and have finally started doing my workout DVD's again. I got bored with them last time. I live too far away to go to a gym, but will occasionally go to a Zumba class.
We can do this!

Hi ladies!

@LeslieWendy I just got a couple of workout dvds. I don't usually do dvd workouts -- I prefer the gym or to go outside. But I've been preparing for the home bound life of a mom so I bought a few to try out at home. I got Jazzercise Live (I used to take jazzercise a lot) and Petra Kolber for Beginner's Cardio. Except for not having weights, they were pretty good dvds. I also got a Billy Bank's Tae Bo but haven't tried it yet. Do you have any favorites?

I'm trying to gain as little as possible during the pregnancy. My OBGYN is very supportive but I still feel huge. I realized during one of the last workout videos that I could no longer bring my knees up towards my chest. Sigh.

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I really like the Biggest Loser workout dvd's since there are real people doing the workouts, not already fit, super buff people. I have the last chance workout and if I don't have time or it is raining outside I do the power walk one.

I'm still stuck in the 260s and it's been weeks. I know I did a thread before about gaining weight and losing inches and they said to pay more attention to the measuring tape and not the scale, but it's been WEEKS! I want to get a move on with this weight

@LeslieWendy - I just bought the "Last Chance Workout" and the "Cardio Max" at Borders for 40% off. Thanks for the recommendation.

The 260s are plaguing me. I thought I was down to 259 (even had the celebratory dance on the scale), then picked up a new scale because mine was a bazillion years old and it read 263. Oh, the juvenile pissy fit I threw.

In 3 days I managed to get the NEW scale back down to 260, expected to see 259.something this morning, and woke up to 261. I know it's water or whatever, but SERIOUSLY?

It's making me freakin insane.

I know I should be so thrilled to see the 260s considering how high the number on the scale got, but I can't help but feel like the weight is just never going to budge. I barely made my goal last month of 272 lbs, and it's taken me half the month to get from 272 down into the 260s in the first place... so now my goal of being 262 by the end of March feels like it's not going to happen.

I knew that 10 pounds a month was doable, as long as I stuck close to plan and worked hard... but there has been so much stress this month, I have just found myself struggling extra hard against binging on junk food for comfort. I haven't figured out how to channel that stress into something else more productive, and when presented with temptations, I've failed multiple times and indulged in the bad choices that are going to make that scale stubbornly sit in place for way too long.

So while I feel on one hand I should be celebrating the 260s compared to a few months ago... the other hand is reminding me just how far I have to go and how hard it actually is to stick to this when things get rough.

Routine has been my only safe haven, and this month, routine has been out the window more times than I care to count. I'm determined not to let it stop me, though.

Sabrina - I totally know what you mean. Take comfort in the fact that if we were comfortable with "how far we've come," we would have settled for a higher weight a long time ago. On the other hand, I also get mad at the Biggest Loser folks when they're frustrated for "only" losing 4 pounds in a week. Keep up the routine!

Hey all! I've been stuck in the 260s since.... early February I think. As soon as I'm almost out, it seems I place myself solidly back in. Bah humbug! That said, Sabrina, I feel your pain- hang in there! We all understand!

GoddessJessica, I remember you from a long time ago when I used to post on here. Congratulations on your pregnancy! I highly recommend the 30 day shred- it is pretty intense but it packs a LOT into those 20 minutes, which will be helpful when your little one is here!

Gloo, OMG, I know exactly what you mean. Over the weekend we went on an anniversary trip to the casino and in one day off plan I "gained" 5 lbs. FIVE! I know it's not a *real* gain, but it still made me throw a hissy fit. Weight fluctuations are so discouraging. But you're almost there!

Stasia, keep going! I am stuck here too... but we'll get there!

Leslie, WTG on the fitness! How do you like Zumba? I hear such great things but I'm far too self conscious to try.. between the chub factor and the severe lack of rhythm, I don't even know if I could try it without a meltdown.

Thanks for starting this thread, Twlight!

Nice to see you here everyone. I have been off my plan and scared to weigh. I know i am still in the 260's and It seems that i will be here forever. 2 years ago I could just drop weight easily, now I can't get any off. I lose 3 to gain back 4.. ugggghhh, I am so frustrated. I am glad I started this thread, it is great to see others that are making progress. You are all very inspiring. Thank you..

Still stuck at 269. I am a whoosher and it bugs me so, that even though I am doing everything on plan that I don't see changes right away.

@dsj06, I really like the zumba class, it does help to have some rhythm and you won't be the only one who feels like a spaz. At least in the class that I have been too, there are the beginners and people who have done it before and I don't feel like anyone is judging me. I also wasn't the biggest one there which is nice.

Me -- I've had some rough family stuff lately and I've bloated/gained my way back to start with all the eating out. Ugh.

So I'd like to see 259 sometime soon!

A.

LeslieWendy, woosher. Hilarious. I'm glad you like Zumba! I might give it a whirl this weekend.

Astrophe, sorry to hear that! You'll get back on. I hope the drama has passed.

Twilight, keep at it. I feel your pain. Ohhh, do I feel your pain.

I am so peeved. I peeked at the scale on Saturday morning. 262. Went on our anniversary trip, didn't track Saturday, Sunday I wasn't great but I wasn't terrible (came home that day, was only gone for half the day). Yesterday? 267. Today? 268. SMH. ONE really bad day. I know I didn't *really* gain 6 lbs, but my WW weigh in is on Thursday and I know I won't be back to 262 by then. So annoyed.
