Default Favorite food budget blog??

Hi! I was just curious if anyone had a favorite budget food blog. I'm looking for a good one that talks about money spent and meal plans for each week. Its just me and my hubby but family ones would be preferred as my hubby is a big guy and eats more than one serving of most stuff.

We don't have a deep freeze so buying in bulk for perishables is not possible. So anyone relying on buying half a cow or something and freezing it is out.

If no such blog exists someone should create one! lol If I ever get good at it I will. lol

Thanks in advance for suggestions!

Simple Dollar (http://www.thesimpledollar.com/) has cooking on the blog but I don't think they spell it out (grocery costs etc).
I had another blog but can't find it right now. They would show what they spent etc.
However, I thought the prices are not comparable to my location. So I am not sure if that would help since prices are very regional.

True about the regional costs, but just a general idea would be nice. I think I spend way too much.

There was one I used to read but now I can't find it. She was a SAHM who also home taught her kids. I dont think she did menus but she always showed her shopping costs. And she bought meat in bulk.

Thanks for the Simple Dollar link. I will check it out!

it's not a blog, but $10 dollar dinners on food network with melissa d'arabian always has great tips. i don't always want to make what she's making, but learning the tips i didn't know is worth it for me. for example, her popovers sound so easy to make, and they have almost no ingredients. just stuff you would have in your pantry.

I found the other blog I was mentioning above:
http://feastonthecheap.net/

They list ingredients with prices and a total cost per serving.

I love this one - and her butternut squash pasta with blue cheese is amazing and what I pulled from my freezer this morning to have for dinner tomorrow.

$3.33 a Day is an awesome blog. The recipes are all vegan but it's just amazing to follow. She had a teenage son when she started this and lived on the east coast but was still able to manage on $3.33/day.
