Default sore feet

I've signed up for the walk for hunger this Sunday. Its a really good cause, they fund food shelters and local soup kitchens in the area.

Get this, it is 20 miles! I'll let you know how it goes.

Wow awesome you guys! I've been keeping my ears open for any walks happening here - most of them are in June, and I'm going to sign up.

20 miles! I think my feet wouldn't just be sore, I think they would be worn down to the bone!

I am very proud of everyone...this is such a good cause.

The last time I did a 20 mile walk was the March of Dimes Walk-a-thon when I was in the 4th grade. It was me and a bunch of friends....damn near killed me! I couldn't walk the next day. If I couldn't do it when I was 10, I'm not sure I could do it at 35.

The funny thing is that on Monday afternoon I am flying to Columbia, SC! I might now be able to walk much when I am there, but it would be worth it.

There is free shuttle buses to take people back who don't finish, and you can start and end anytime or anyplace you wish. It doesn't matter how much or how little you actually walk. I'm planning to make the day of it and take my time.

20 miles is a good walk. is it on a track/road or is int eh hills cross country?? i did a thing over here called ten tors there are 3 catagories 35 45 and 55 miles. to be done in 34 hours. i did the training for the 35 did one full length walk over country took us 22hours and i was dead had blisters like quaters on my feet and they ached for days after. its made worse cos we camped out and thats when it hits you when you take your boots off.

Its outside down regular roads. They have the streets blocked to traffic so all of us can walk freely. There is expected to be about 40,000 people this year. I don't think I would be as willing to give it a try if it was out in the country. Most people finish it within 5-8 hours, but if I takes a bit longer for me, so be it.
