Default Size 26 to size 16!

I'm not even sure at this point when I was a size 26. All I know is that I have 26 pants and I was wearing them. They have been loose for a while, but I bought them at some point because I had to. Then for a while I was wearing 24... a long while I think.

Last summer I lost 20 lbs and could squeeze into 22 and a few pairs of 20s, but not very well. Then this past month and half I lost another 26 lbs and have been fitting into a bunch of 18s and 20s my mom's friend gave me... and they've been baggy.

This past weekend I went to Macy's to look for a sports bra and just for the **** of it I tried on a pair of 16 pants... and they fit! They fit perfectly! I was so excited that I took a picture of myself right in the dressing room. And then I started crying! Lol. I haven't been that size in like 7 years. Needless to say I had to buy the pants.

I'm not at my computer so I don't have any before pics to show the difference, but I'm sure you can imagine... there's a big difference. Lol

For me to drop from a size 26 to a size 16, I would have to lose a lot more than you have. I wore a size 16 in 1980 and I weighed 170 lbs. So, I will have to drop 100 lbs in order to wear size 16s again based on how my body was back then.

Keep up the good-no great- work!

I am right there with you. I've gone from a size 26/28 to a 16. It's nice to see results and keeps me motivated to keep working at it. Congrats!

First, congratulations on your success and your new jeans.

But, you lost 26 pounds in 6 weeks? An average of over 4 pounds a week?

That seems extreme. What did you do?

Thanks ladies! It's so nice to be able to share with people who get it.

As for being size 16, I'm very short. My friend who's taller than me is bigger than a size 16 and looks much thinner. It's really hard to compare different body type I think. :\

No, nothing extreme. I eat 1600 calories a day and do about an hour of cardio a day, maybe 5 times a week. A few days I've done as much as 2 hours of cardio (broken up into 2 session) but that hasn't been frequent. I'm not doing anything that I don't plan to do for the rest of my life in terms of food or exercise. I feel great and have more energy than ever before... and I still manage to work ice cream and pizza into my calories once in a while.

Most of the weight I lost was in the first week (11 lbs). I think the reason I've been able to lose so much so fast is because I've never combined exercise and eating right. I realize now that I used to drink too much milk and eat too much cheese. I also used to eat a lot of starches and pasta and I switched to whole grains. I have PCOS and had no idea that it could affect weight so much and so I think changing my eating habits helped with that a lot.

If you're curious about the details, I started a blog that lists everything I've eaten and done for exercise. http://jennisfoodjournal.wordpress.com/

Thanks, Runic. It must be the one hour of cardio a day that provides the extra boost. That's a lot, but keep up the good work...it suits you. Again, congrats.
