On the subject of the body perceiving artificial sweeteners as "sweet" and putting out insulin in response...it's the tongue that first identifies the sugar molecule, not the sweet taste. Except for aspartane which has already been discussed, all the other fake sugars are not responsible for spikes in insulin or coming out of ketosis. I'm not a chemist...just spoke to one.
