You also don't have to do all your exercise at once. It's just as good if you break the total up over the day. Say you set yourself a goal of 30 minutes a day; that can be 10 minutes of pushups/situps in the morning, 10 minutes of a video some other time in the day, 10 minutes of brisk walking during your lunch break. There are actual studies on this somewhere, I can track the reference down if you want.
Plus for me, it's sometimes just the getting started problem. If I say, It's only going to be 10 minutes, it's easier for me to do it, and often I end up doing more.
In fact, if you have a sitting-at-a-desk job (this has been in the news lately) it is much better to break up hours of sitting time with exercise, because sitting still for a while causes the metabolism to slow down in your muscles, especially the large muscles in your legs and butt that don't do anything when you are sitting.
