Talking Exercising triumph!

Ive been a sluggish 288 pound women carrying around all this weight plus my 6 month old baby girl. My life has pretty much been chalked up to living indoors with my daughter during the day, doing the housewifey things before my hunny gets home at the end of his work day. Ive made every excuse in the book to not go to the gym, let alone work out. My hunny, who could not afford to get me my own personal treadmill at the moment, decided instead, to get me a wii fit along with the biggest loser game in hopes that it might stir me to be motivated enough to get off the couch and participate in some form of exercise while our daughter is down for her nap during the day.. He also hoped that if he bought a gym pass for me that i would use it faithfully, since it was a gift for him..

Well, ive had the wii fit since december and ive barely touched it and this so called gym pass hasnt existed because i havent bothered to say "yes i want it"..BUT finally, after being on my new diet for over 7 days, i got fed up with the scale and decided "Its time" ..its that point you hit when you get frustrated cause the scale isnt moving and youve changed your diet the best you can..you know that you know that you know..that exercise will be the key to the scale losing its grip on that number your stuck at..so ...i marched to the gym myself and bought myself a gym pass for a month and went to the gym last night for the first time. Its the first time in almost a year i have been at a gym..and i pounded that treadmill for 30 minutes, a combination or runnning and walking and in turn i burnt off 200 calories.. On top of that.. i pulled out my wii fit when i got home and proceeded to do a box fit workout and burn another 200 calories off..thats 400 calories in an hour! BOO YA!!!

Last night when i turned in for the night, i wasnt convinced that i would make it another day doing another work out.. BUT i got up in the morning and said that i wouldnt eat breaky till i did my workout..and so i did an hour on my wii fit using the boxfit program and i burnt off 750 calories today...The gym is closed early so i cant go in the evening today and the gym is closed tommorow..so i did my workout at home. Im very proud of myself for burning 750 calories in an hour..it was a gruelling workout and i sweat buckets and im sooooo sore.. but i did it..so i just wanted to let yalls know!

Terrific!! Good for you!! Isn't exercise great??...seriously.

I know that it's been said that diet is 80% and exercise is 20% of the weightloss equation, (I've also frequently heard 70/30), but I've got to say that it has been different FOR ME!!

I have lost weight many times in my life, but this time I decided to exercise 6 days a week and for 8 months I have stuck to it. I also don't "eat back" my calories that I exercise off. My body has totally changed and I feel so good. I feel that they should change the numbers to 50/50 because diet and exercise have been equally important in my life.

Best wishes on your journey and I look forward to reading your posts and hearing about your continued success.

You know what I found out recently tho, I found out that even though some equipment or excercise games says it's a certain amount of calories being burned it could be more or less depending if the equipment has a weight setting, just thought I'd share.
But thats amazing, I love working out.
