at a football party with my friends and boyfriend right now and on the coffee table in front of me is 6 differnt kinds of chips, lots of dips, beer, coca cola, brownies, cupcakes, pizza, and chicken wings. ive already had plenty of water and a lean turkey burger but im having trouble resisting temptation. any tips/advice? ive been on my phone for the last hour on 3FC but its pretty hard because i can smell and taste this food and all my friends are enjoying this delicious food right in front of me
I sit on my hands, but that is just me. I also will hold a glass of water or Diet Coke to give me something to sip at.
Is there anything healthy you can eat? Raw veggies, fruit? Even nuts wouldn't be bad. If you're truly hungry, making a smart choice will help you resist the not-so-great ones.
Or, and you can all yell now, have something. Pick what you REALLY want, look up the calories (since you clearly have some sort of smart phone) and savor it. You can build the rest of your day around it, changing your dinner or taking away a later night snack. Just because you're dieting doesn't mean you can't be smart and incorporate some calorie controlled, budgeted for treat.
I'm in Illinois and I've got my big water bottle right next to me. Every time I feel like I need to munch on chips and salsa and pizza, I take big drink of water. It's working so far!
