I started out on Atkins, but after much thought and research, I realized that South Beach would be a better plan for me to be able to maintain after losing weight. I am only going to do one week of induction, since I have already been on induction with Atkins for a week, unless I see a huge difference in the scale, then I will probably complete the 2 weeks.
I lost 17 lbs on South beach before and don't know why I stopped doing it. I guess I just fell on the wagon. Having all time high numbers for my weight has been the kick in the pants that I needed to get back on board and STAY ON!
Anywho - I can't wait to meet, get to know and cheer everyone on in their success!
Welcome back to the Beach. I tried Atkins too. Lost about 30-40 lbs, got sick of "savory" and the restrictiveness. Quit, gained it all (and then some) back. Hit the Beach a year later, have not looked back since!
Welcome and I agree you need only do one week on Phase 1 here. You will start to enjoy some carbs on Phase 2. Give some thought to what you might start out with - one serving per day. It took me a while to get myself out of the Atkins mind frame.
