Hey everyone. So I've been thinking very seriously about lapband surgery, which is one of the reasons I joined this group--to get information and inspiration. Well, yesterday I was talking about it to my cousin who is seventeen and weighs even more than I do. She knew everything and more about lapband surgery, which shocked me. She told me she read a new novel (young adult) called
Teenage Waistland. She calimed she read it twice, and wanted to lend it to me. So, I just started it last night and it's really engaging. It's about a group of teens who are in a trial study to get lapband surgery. My cousin can't get surgery until she's eighteen, but this book has given her hope. I'm hoping by reading this, I can even become more familiar and comfortable with the process (even though my teen years are long gone). I'll let you all know how it is!
