The storm on Tuesday was supposed to hit us hard. We got a little over an inch. It moved south. I've been hearing the news about a hotel down there where people were being rescued from the 2nd floor because the first floor flooded.
I heard the stadium in San Diego is flooded. There is a bowl game there today.
Oh yeah things are settling down now, the rains have stopped but I hear they are going to start back up Sunday.
I told my mom at least I don't have to water my lawn till NEXT SUMMER. Some areas got 15 inches of rain- our city just isn't equipped to deal with that.
As we speak (and since I was watching the news this morning at 6 am) they are pumping water out of the stadium and parking lot...
At my work the parking lot had become a lake. lol.
Road closures up here in north San Diego MARE ....every city I think but for the most part we are drying out. Coast highway was a river right at the end of Oceanside to Carlsbad by the Army Navy Academy....kids were padding surfboards in it!
Qualcomm is a mess but they are working their butts off to get it ready for game time. My daughter lives about a mile from there and said it was a mess....but then it is EVERY time it rains.
