Default W.O,W. Thanksgiving Week

Thanksgiving week for those of us in the USA. If this holds steady the holidays will be over before we know it.

How do you plan to handle thankgiving day? Me~I take small portions of everything, but I do eat.

This past week I have seen the scale move down 5.8 pounds. Last march I was down to 135, then after a series of events (Husbands loss of job, death of my boss who i worked out with the day he passed, on the job shoulder injury) I have succeeded in gaining back 15 pounds. Ouch. Then on Weds I got on the scale and saw it at a two year high. gulp....155. I didn't realize it was preTOM weight, but it freaked me out. 20 pounds in 5 months OUCH. So I had to refocus on my food. With great success. Workouts will come starting saturday. After Tommy and I were sick, then conference week at school I had no workout time. Thursday and Friday this week are full. So Saturday I will be back to my old workout routine.

I don't plan on trying to get back to 135. to do that I worked out 2.5 hours plus a day off and 35 minutes day on...and only ate 1200 cals. I am hoping to get back to a maintainable weight of 140 soon though.

W 80 oz
E extra laps at work
E 1200 cals
D drive safely in the snow.

(did I mention we got snow yesterday??? we rarely see the stuff here. so it was a shock.)

I plan on doing the same: skimping on the bread-heavy products and eating small portions, but doing it without restrictions. Gonna be hard to remember to keep the portions the size of my palm, but I actually did it successfully last year. So, what I plan to do is have a smoothie before I hit my friend's house and let thanksgiving carry the rest of the day for calories. So there will be some balance.

Hey ladies! Happy Thanksgiving week! My downfall is stuffing - I need to just take one serving and no more! I'm just aiming for moderation and drinking lots and lots of water - I find that when I drink less I tend to eat more.

Have my ultrasound this afternoon so fingers crossed everything looks good! Have a great day everyone

W - 64+
E - probably none
E - everything in moderation, no snacking!
D - start getting organized to for Wednesday (we're traveling) and plan Connor's birthday (4 on 11/30!)

Update: ultrasound was good, looks like I'm having a gummi bear

Happy Thanksgiving ladies! I, too am dreading Turkey Day (although only half my family celebrates it) but I have decided to try and stay away from the bread-heavy products and have smaller portions of whatever I want!!! LOL. I also plan to get the H2O in like never before!

Great idea Jeni! Hopefully, we can all get a couple of ideas.

I am the cook, so I am in control. I am using a small plate and skipping the rolls in favor of the oyster stuffing!!

Morning everyone. I am back on plan and about to go try out my new Zumba game for Wii. It looks like it'll be fun. I love to dance so I'm hoping this game will help keep me motivated to workout 4-5 days per week. Then I also want to start doing so crunches, push-ups, and squats everyday to build my muscle/joint strength back up. I had did that the last time I successfully lost weight and it helped A LOT. For Thanksgiving Day, I plan on just eating small portions. I'll eat one plate for lunch with my family, and one plate for dinner (usually much smaller than lunch) with my BF's family. It's harder with my family because I love the food so much more. I love my Grandma's baked macaroni with candied yam juice on top. And I am also one that absolute loves hot buttered rolls, but I am going to limit myself to 2 small rolls for the day. I'm also going to try to have 1200 calorie days before and after Thanksgiving Day to try to balance out a bit more. And since I'm off of work I'll try to do some extra exercising. Just hoping I can stick to my plan!!!

The Zumba is definitely helping me stay motivated with exercise. I did 40 min of the Zumba game this morning, now I'm about to start working on my paper again. I really need to get moving because it's due next Monday. Whenever I need a break I will stop and do some more Zumba! I have the Wii in my room for now so that I can just jump up and do it whenever I need a break from the school work. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Rather irritated, just looked back and ended the halloween challenge exactly where I weighed this AM 152.6.

Next goal, out of the 150's, still aiming for 136 for NYE, but let's get to the 140's first and then worry about that.

Helloooo Hope everyone had a healthy and successful Thanksgiving. I did it!! I had NO dessert and one portion of stuffing turkey, corn and green bean cassorole!! WEWT!!! I am steady at 266, battling a bout of depression so I am really concentratin on not binge eating. I have had a few 90 calorie candies but figured in to calories for the day!!

W - 64 oz
E - gym is closed these two days, gonna try and get a walk in
E - right on target
D - survive the holidays!
