Default OT - Rough Days

The 30th of October would have been my Daddy's 75th birthday but he passed away in 2006.

Today would have been my husband's 40th birthday but he passed away in 1999.

I have 2 doctor's appointments today.

I have had no sleep.

How do you handle rough days?

Sometimes we just have to put one foot in front of the other and keep going. Your DD and DH would want that for you. When the going gets rough for me I "try" to fake it 'til I make it. Here from me! I hope your day gets better hun!

I have no words of wisdom for you. Just know that people care, tomorrow is a new day, and you're a strong woman.

As I said on Facebook, I'm thinking of you today!

Just stay focused on the immediate task at hand. I lost my Dad in '07. I know it's rough at times. Remember your family would want the best for you and not for you to struggle.

My only advice has already been said - fake it till you make it.

None of the things you mentioned will be made better by not staying on plan. You won't miss your dad less if you overeat - or have a better visit with your doctor. You will feel better at the end of the day if you take care of yourself.

Bad days? You just get through them. You push on through. What other choice is there really?

How do I handle bad days? I whine, I fuss and I put one foot in front of the other and take one step at a time. Years ago I read a book and the main character was having a horrible breakdown and someone told her "you just have to get through the next five minutes. Anyone can endure anything for five minutes."

When life gets really rough I take it five minutes (sometimes one minute) at a time because there are days when looking beyond the next few minutes is just too overwhelming.

Think about how proud they would be of you today, considering what you have accomplished. It's not solace, really, but perhaps there is a minor warm fuzzy in there along with the rough day.

Sorry to hear everything you are going through hon, I really do think 'fake it till you make it' has worked best for me on rough days.

*hugs*
