Today has been a pretty bad day - you know, one of those when you've had it up to your eyeballs and then someone thinks it'll be fun to push you a little bit farther just to see what'll happen. Finally I told the family that I was going to go do something alone for a while, and I did. It's very, very rare that I have time alone like that.
Anyway, I went shopping - something else I never do, because I have boys who have no interest in women's clothing and make their lack of interest abundantly clear. It's more trouble than it's worth except for quick in-and-outs for necessary things. I started Christmas shopping...and then I thought "What the ****!" and started shopping for me. Clothes shopping. I took my time, looked at stuff, tried stuff, realized that I had an amazing number of options.
What I didn't do was go eating, which is what I would have done a year ago. And the purchase I made was my first-ever entire outfit for working out in. It's very cute.
Changes DO happen, eventually.
