I hit 229.5 this morning. I got into the 230s after losing my house in hurricane Katrina while I was in law school.
I had to live in a hotel, and then someone's garage apt. I didn't have a stove and only had a small fridge. I was so stressed that I could BARELY grocery shop and without a stove or regular fridge, I couldn't cook at all. I ate lunch from fast food places on campus and ate dinner at a greasy Mexican American restaurant that was next door almost every night.
It really showed me how poverty can contribute to obesity. If you can't buy good groceries and cook, your food choices can easily be unhealthy.
So, bye 230s, I hated you more than the 240s because you hit me when I was already down.
