Default I'm SO hungry!

I don't know what is going on. I've been doing modified induction for 3 weeks. Minus one slip up, I have been in ketosis the entire time. I have been in ketosis for about 2 weeks straight since the slip up.

Yesterday and today - I am STARVING! that gotta eat feeling to the point that I almost feel nauseous.

Any ideas? Yesterday I thought maybe not enough fat but i added a lot and still hungry!

yesterdays meal plan:

2 eggs, coffee with cream and half pack s and l
turkey, roast beef, cheese slices, ranch, veggies (cucs green pepper etc) off a deli platter.
snack more deli meat and cheese (i started feeling starving at about 3 pm)
dinner miracle pasta w alfredo spinach and panchetta
snack cheese slice and macadamia nuts

todays meal plan:
cheese slice and coffee w cream and half a pack of splenda
snack one deli meat and cheese
snack sausage
lunch broccoli stem coleslaw with ranch and 10 green olives
snack3 sausage (about 4 pm)

its now 5:15 and I feel like I could eat a horse!

what gives?

Any ideas?? Help!!!!!

not nearly enough food. Think about the breakfasts on induction, 3 egg omelets,.with veggies, or bacon and eggs, or eggs and sausages.
lunch of veggies instead of salad, but how much meat and cheese? enough for about 3 sandwiches would be needed. also, am thinking you are pretty high carb this way, the sausage have breadcrumbs? The pasta might be slow burning carbs, but likely you are getting carbs from it. Eat a good big meal. I think overall you are not getting enough good.
Full feels different on atkins, I find, but hunger is still hunger. EAT

YES, I agree with Fatmad.

More FAT, more food, and less carbs. I wouldn't even mess with the miracle pasta on induction. Good luck!

the sausage only has 1 carb each. the "noodles" are really root vegetable ground up w tofu and have 5 regular and 3 net carbs in them

I have been staying between 18-23 carbs each day.

I definitely have been eating a lot - the sausages are big. i had 2 cups of shredded broccoli coleslaw today (its not salad, its broccoli stalk shredded) and have been eating a lot of cheese/lunch meat etc.

Fat wise I am having cheese, sausage, macadami nuts, more cheese, cream, real ranch dressing, olives etc. I will try to add more but its about similar to what I have been eating.

I also should mention that I drink a lot of water.

I think you need more vegetables. Are 12-15 g of net carbs coming from veggies alone?

Honestly, though, in induction shouldn't ALL carbs be from veggies?

According to atkins it's 12-15 carbs per day from veggies.

I will try your tricks tomorrow. Does this meal plan sound better?

lunch - 2c shredded broccoli (5) ranch (1) sausage (1)

Do you count 3 eggs as 3 whole carbs? The information I found on them said they were about .5 each for a whole egg.

(I'm struggling a bit with mixed information on some food)

Do you weigh your food as well? I got a scale and I'm surprised how wrong I've been about food and eyeballing.

the new plan sounds much better. The miracle pasta and nuts are not induction style foods at all, so skip those for a while. Get the book and follow the meal plans for a couple of weeks before going off on your own. I am not sure about fat content in your food, turkey may be too lean. Remember, if you are low carbing, you HAVE to increase fats. Or you will be way too hungry.
Even tho the sausages have only 1 g carbs, what is it from? if its breading, may be throwing you out of ketosis too.
I know its hard to be so strict, but its worth it in the end.

Great suggestions from everyone. I agree. Also, consider mixing it up...try chicken, steak, fresh fish, bacon.

Stephanie - i do count each egg as a whole carb bc that is what the package says. I know they probably round up but I figure I probably eat some other food that they round down so it evens out?

thanks everyone - i will pick up a roast chicken this week and try that. I will skip miracle pasta and nuts for a bit too.

Theres no bread in the sausage - I'm not sure what the 1 carb is from. Maybe the seasonings? I am still in pretty dark ketosis on my sticks so I dont think they are throwing me out but I will eat my last 2 today and try something else.

Ahh, okay! I've never seen eggs with 1 carb, only 0 carbs but I saw online they are about .5 grams each for large ones. I know legally the people making up that nutrition label don't have to list it if it's smaller than 1.

I thought they were zero carb for awhile >.< haha Sorry about that
