Default induction longer than two weeks?

I was just wondering if it'd be bad for me to move onto owl after two or three weeks. It seems the people that were most successful with atkins stayed in induction for a long time. I don't mind losing weight a lil bit more slowly in owl than i do in induction. I DID read the book, i guess i'm just looking for some advice or encrouragement?

It's your choice. I plan on staying on Induction for a long time since I have a LOT of weight to lose, but even if you do have a lot of weight to lose there's nothing wrong with moving on to phase 2 after two weeks. The weight loss in phase 2 can be slower, but you'll have a larger variety of foods to eat.

I plan on sticking with induction a bit longer, just to see how it goes. I figure if I crave some more variety I can always move to OWL and still lose, just slower.

one advantage of moving on to owl, you will be eating closer to how you will eat for a lifetime. If you are still losing weight when you move up the carb ladder a bit, you will be fine. THe advantage of losing weight slowly is that it is quite likely to stay off. If that seem right for you, go for it.

Welcome, Army2010. Absolutely do what feels best for you...you want to do what you can stick with and enjoy. We're all different, and our bodies are different, and that's just fine!

Good luck with your weight loss.

First off...Welcome

Secondly...I agree with everyone else. It's totally an individual choice. I'm 338lbs so I can be on Induction longer than the 2 weeks because I have SO MUCH to lose. I may extend it right to my birthday in April...it'll depend on how I'm feeling. Right now I'm just taking it 1 day at a time
