Lightbulb Were my eyes ever opened!

I had an experience that "finally" made me open my eyes and come to the realization that I have to lose this weight and........ NOW

My son (12 yrs.) and I left my DS at his office and we drove over to our rental house to do some work. My DH was to follow us over in a few.
We got to the house, I parked on the lawn because there was a big dumpster in the driveway. I was starting to unload my car of all the necessary cleaning supplies and what have you and then I went to the back seat door and was starting to get stuff out when my foot dropped down into a hole and wouldn't you know it, I fell backwards right onto a bush!

Ya it sounds comical, but I was absolutely MORTIFIED AND HUMILIATED. And, I couldn't get up. To think at age 52 I can't take care of myself because I'm too fat. Oh My Gosh. Hello???

Between my weight/obesity and my arthritic/bone spurred right knee, I couldn't get onto the knee to get myself up. And, believe you me, I thought and thought about what my son could bring from the house to help me, but to no avail.
So, there I lay.
Then it started to rain. Ya' ya, the story gets more amusing as it goes on!!!

I got the cell phone, called my DH and said, "Could you hurry over. I have fallen and I can't get up."
He thought that I was joking.

That was just a couple of days ago, and I have lost 12 pounds so far.

As God as my witness, I WILL GET THIS WEIGHT OFF........NOW!

Oh bless your heart. I imagine that wasn't just embarrassing, but scary!! Seems like it was a good catalyst, though, to get things moving in the right direction.

Best wishes to you--I'm looking forward to seeing your progress!!

I truly, truly believe that you will!

I think this whole incident was G-d's way of helping you to make that decision. Look at it as a blessing.

I'm excited for you! You're about to transform your life.

How scary for you and your son! Sometimes we have to experience these types of consequences to really open our eyes to reality. I know I did. Best of luck on your journey and stick around. 12 lbs! Go you!
