Mini-GoalsEven if you're not at goal yet, this is the place to share your successes and achievements along the way! Success can be measured in many ways besides the scales. Tell us about your triumphs, including Non Scale Victories
I will post in the mini goal picture album in October after I go to a wedding and have nice pics of me dolled up. My highest weight was 199, I dropped to 131 to winters ago, then slowly got back up to 140-ish and have stayed around there for a long time which was making me sad.....I was working out and eating great, but not consistently, I was either reeeeeally good, or reeeeally bad. I'd be on the wagon and then just absolutely crash right off and binge eat on mainly sweets. Just pure and utter self sabotage. I was losing 5 lbs, gaining it back, losing six lbs, gaining it back and so forth. Anyway, I decided enough was enough and since Sept 1st I have dropped 12 lbs, thanks to my very hard work. I swear, running is key......it's amazing and I'm feeling stronger and healthier with each run. I'm currently running 5 miles four or five days per week as well as other exercise and my diet is so clean. I'm so excited to know I only have 12 more lbs to goal!

Thank you, thank you *takes a bow* :P I'm glad to see that some folk are happy for me.
I've had some friends say "Don't starve yourself, make sure you're eating, that's not healthy etc..." I'm not starving myself at all, I eat six smaller meals per day....very healthy, workout a lot and actually eat more to fuel those workouts. I'm feeling really great. I hate to sound horrible, but I hate when people make comments like that- okay so 12 lbs in that time frame is a quite a lot especially for someone my size, however it's a little insulting when people think the only way you can drop weight like that is through starving yourself......it's called a lot of hard work, a lot of sweat and dedication. I sound really mean, but it just bothers me. Don't they ever consider that I worked REALLY hard to lose that 12 lbs- it is possible and I'm sure that the initial few lbs were water weight.
Gracie, I tell everyone that running is seriously the best for weight loss, I try encourage my friends who are unhappy with their weight to come run with me.
thats great! Don't apologize for your little rant. Everyone needs to vent one day or another. Don't listen to them, listen to your inner self. Some people just don't understand.
congrats! you are doing great! weight is so personal... no one else can really understand what everyone goes through, so just keep doing what's best and healthy for you!
