Default Hungry at night

Last night I was stomach growling hungry. My day was a little wacky and while I did stay on plan my timing was off some. The end result was I was uncomfortably hungry at the end of the day. Normally, I just to go bed a little hungry no problem but this was enough to keep me awake. So I ended up having non plan snack..Tried to go as lo cal as possible with cukes and tomatoes. Then thought I should do protein. I'd already done my 4 max HSN's so I had a hard boiled egg.

Any suggestions on how to handle this if it happens again? What are your strategies for evening hunger.

My suggestion is work on the timing of it a little more for starters, but then again, you already know that!

I know one thing I did in the beginning to cover evening hunger and desire to have something in front of the TV was to have my evening dinner at the normal 6-6:30 time, but SAVE my starch out for just a little later -- then I would toast a piece of bread and add my tsp of safflower oil, cinnamon and a packet of truvia for a yummy piece of cinnamon toast, followed by my last liquid hns mixed with the fiberfill. That worked for me.

Another thing the center advised is if you are in a situation you just need that extra push, take a hns meal replacement bar and divide it into 3-4 segments and just grab ONE piece to make your stomach stop screaming at you!

My problem with that is one piece, leads to 2 pieces, leads to the entire bar -- WOOPS!

One thing I've done at night is have the Clear American water. You can get it at Wal-Mart and it has no calories, sodium or sugar. The carbonation really helped my tummy not feel so empty.

this diet is all about staying in ketosis. this is just my opinion, but i would do another hns with maybe the fiber. i would stay away from the carbs, the excess carbs is what kicks us out of ketosis, so do the protien. have you tried saving your hns until evenings. i usually do one before bed, plus it keeps your metabolism going while you sleep. i usually did the creamy at night.
