Default The Salvation Army

Are the thrift store workers of The Salvation Army paid, or is it all volunteer work?

I tried Google, but failed. :P

They are paid staff. I used to work at one of the stores.

Oh, wonderful. (:

What kind of hours and responsibilities were you given?

I'm interested in applying in my town. I have experience working with a charity and I'm hoping that will help my odds of being hired. (:

I worked part time, afternoons, like 1 to 5. I sorted clothes, priced clothes, hung clothes, rotated clothes, and ran the register. I also occasionally helped the manager with paperwork (inventory, bank deposits, scheduling, time sheets) but I don't think that was really part of my job description. It was a pretty easy and fun job.

Good luck with getting the job!
