I was just about to ask when we'd be hearing about the next one. Awesome! I feel like I'm coming out of my little funk a bit. I've been having an easier time making the right choices again. And it feels really good to be active again. I walked 3 miles Saturday, went rafting Sunday (OMG one of my best rafting trips ever), and had my first workout at my new Y today. Since I've been so inconsistant this challenge, it would be nice to go out with a bang, even if it's an unofficial one. Have a good week ladies!

Hard to believe it's the last week. The summer has flown by and while I'm thrilled I've maintained, I need to regroup/refocus.
Currently looking for a different job and seeing if a dramatic change is what I need.
Shan -you getting settled back into SK? When do you start teaching?
Terapet & Aclai- good for you girls going to the Y. I should go, but find the annual fee a bit steep for our finances. Hopefully I'll get back into aerobics come winter. Till then, dog walking will have to suffice.
Hope everyone's week has started off well.

CanadaMel-Congrats on the awesome job maintaining. That is something I have never been able to do. Not that losing weight comes easy either but I have done it before. Keeping it off is a another matter.

Alcai-River rafting sounds awesome. I have always been too chicken to do anything like that. I agree you should go out with a bang. Also, you can get in the zone so to speak and set yourself up to start the new challenge with a nice loss. Go for it!

Terapet- You really should try rafting! There are so many different level rivers and the guides know what they're doing. Our guide was a little rough on us Sunday because he knew us and knew we were all well versed in rafting. But they don't do that stuff with beginners. The Nantahala is a good river to start with, or if you're REALLY scared you can even raft the upper Chattahoochee (North of the city, through the city is just a float really).

Canadamel- Have you checked in to see if you qualify for the reduced rate at the Y? Different locations do it differently. In Atlanta I applied for a scholarship and had to write an essay, but got my start-up fee waived and paid only $20/month. Here in Nashville, they just wanted to see recent pay stubs and I pay $38/month. It's a lot cheaper than any other gym I've ever joined.

Ashley-I know you are right. I shouldn't let my fear get in the way of cool stuff like river rafting. I even had an opportunity this weekend for a paid rafting trip. However, I am making a big enough leap this weekend just going on an airplane-another of the many things that scare me. I am signed up for a facial instead of the rafting. Never done that either and less scary!

BlueEyes-Thanks for the encouragement and congrats to you for your six pound loss. I am absolutely thrilled to be in a new decade. I am going to try real hard to lose another ten. Sorry to hear you are having problems. I am sending you a cyber-hug!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been on much this week. I've been busy with training and setting up my classroom from scratch. It's Friday night now and I have a big fancy dinner to go to with staff and board members. I'm actually going to work a few hours on Saturday as well so I am ready for when we start school on Monday!!

Hope everyone is having a good last week of the challenge.

Hi Teamies,

I weighed in early this week because I am going out of town this weekend and I am unsure if I will be on the computer in the next few days. Thanks for a great challenge. I really appreciated the encouragement and camaraderie along the way. Special thanks to Shan for all the hard work even though she had a very busy schedule this summer. Good luck to everyone in the continued effort to discipline ourselves in the way of healthy living.

I'll be back to weigh in on Sunday. Have a good weekend !

That is a good team mate!

Talk at you Sunday~

Well the scale wasn't looking too promising this week... until today. I got my woosh! Man, I haven't wooshed in a while. I'm down 3.8... or 4.8, depending on which of numbers the magic scale spit out at me this morning you trust. I'm thinking about switching to the balance beam scale at the gym for the next challenge; I never really trust my home scale.

Hi ladies-congrats to all who have made it through this summer challenge.. And a huge thanks to Shan & Jaqui the team leaders!

Never thought about reduced rates at the Y! Thanks for that tip- I'll need to investigate.
Doing well here up north, we're heading down to the river to do some canoeing. Sad to see summer come to an end

Last day ladies, have a good weigh-in! I'm feeling a bit lazy and putting off c25k. I'll get it done today, just not right now.

Congrats Aclai! Nothing better than a woosh week to end the challenge!

I echo what Mel said as well - congrats to all that have made it through the summer challenge. Hard to believe another challenge has come and gone. I'm ready for the Fall one to begin - school started last week and it's nice to be getting back into a routine.

I'm wishing everyone a good final weigh-in!
