Default Late night snack replacement

I get hungry at around 11:30 at night but with nothing decent I want to snack on, I keep eating ramen noodles. I'm willing to go to the store right now and get something else (I'm hungry). I just need to know something that's ok to snack on at night that's not going to catch up with me.

Raw veggies and hummus are a good option if you like veggies. Or you could get an popcorn popper (air-popper) and have some air-popped popcorn. Progresso has some decent soups that are like 60 calories per serving (I like the Italian Style Vegetable), also.

you don't need to buy a machine. just get paper bags and fold the opening and pop them in the microwave, easy-peasy.

I plan a 10pm snack into my calorie count.
I make one envelope of plain instant oatmeal, and a 100% whey protein shake made with 8oz nonfat milk. I pour part of the shake on my oatmeal, drink the rest. Total calories 300, protein 35g, carbs 34g, fat 4g fat.

If I'm awake in the middle of the night - like right now(thanks to mom, age 89) - and I want something, I'll have a Myoplex Lite RTD(ready-to-drink) chocolate shake(170cal, 20p, 20c, 2f).

I have the same problem.
So when the munchies hit me, I either like to grab a small apple and dip it into some low-fat-plain yogurt, or I munch on a boiled egg with a sprinkle of salt, washing it down with either some water, OJ or milk.
I think the dairy products are helpful in settleing a grumbling tummy.
Its working for me.

Just be careful there's no printing on the bag - I had a bag catch on fire in the microwave once.

Wow awesome suggestions. I've never had oatmeal before, and always wanted to try it. I love boiled eggs too so that's great as well.

How's a fried egg white fried with just some Pam hold up? Or grits? Fried egg white on White Wheat is my favorite breakfast food.

Hey try reheating a boiled egg in the microwave and then give it to someone to eat. It's my understanding that it will blow up in their face! You made me remember that with the bag catching on fire lol. I've had several things blow up or catch fire in the microwave.

Yeah, I think I'll stick to my $19 air-popper where all I need to do is plug it in and use the scoop to place the kernels inside. Plus, it's way more fun to watch than a bag in the microwave...ha ha.
