Default just a question

Hi everyone. Please be kind, I am new here and I am a little lost! ;-)

I want to join a support group on here to have ppl to talk to who are in a similar situation. i am a little confused by the groups, this 100lb club in particular. I, at first, assumed it was for ppl who were at a current weight in the 100s. Then I read bios and a lot of the ppl were not at 199 lbs or less. So, I began to think it was for ppl who have 100something pounds to lose.

Someone help me, I'm confused. I started at 218 back in december, currently weigh 198 and my goal is 140-150. where do i belong?

Welcome to 3FC!! Just browse around, there are support groups by age, by diet plan, for people with certain medical disorders, and there is a general support forum. (You don't have to need to lose 100 pounds to join the 100 pound club, I browse around here from time to time myself.) Also, there's an introductions forum. . .

Have fun!

You can join anywhere you like. This forum is designed for women that have over 100 pounds to lose being they are likely to be dealing with different issues than someone that has less than that.

I feel strange coming here as I no longer have 100 lbs left to lose but the support is fantastic. Jump in where you feel comfortable.

You're not the first to have made that mistake. Lots of people are confused by the title of this little "club". It sure feels like everyone is welcome though. The more the merrier! But I agree with CFMama in that I personally come here because everyone here is very understanding of the amount of weight I have to lose. It's less likely that I am going to be offended by any posts by well-intended skinny people who complain about how cow-like they are with ten pounds to lose.

Lifechanging - Do I know you? I don't think that I have multiple personalities, but which of my personalities would tell me? Just kidding (our stats look strangely similar and I'm in Kansas, too!)

I hang out on the 100 lbs board because even though I don't have 100 pounds to lose, because of my height, my BMI more closely resembles many of the ladies and men who post on this board - so I feel like I fit in here more than on other boards. Besides, I may get to goal and decide to continue on to lose 100 pounds - it would still be a healthy weight for me. You'll find that everyone is welcoming here - it's a great place to be.

Yep. Even though I no longer have 100lbs to lose, this is where I started and this is where I find the most support for my questions and understanding for my journey.

I think the thing to remember is that there isn't an application process to this whole thing. Its not like you have to be approved by someone in order to answer a question, pose a question or wish someone's congrats. If a thread seems relevant to you, post on it!
