Default Too tired to work out.....

I started Phase I 6 days ago and have stayed OP. Everyone else seems to be getting more energized as the diet progresses, but I have been EXTREMELY tired lately! I can't even drag myself to the gym, let alone take a walk. Does this seem normal to anyone else? Anyway to "fix" it?

Very Frustrated!

It is possible that you are in ketosis, I find that I get into ketosis after 4-5 days on Phase 1, that is even when I eat my beans and eat dairy products.
This feeling will pass, Phase 1.5-2 will stop it. Maybe just go for walks instead of doing any major workouts. It does say in the books to take it easy on exercise in Phase 1.
Good luck to you!

It is very normal to be tired in p1 -- be sure to get those beans and dairy in, though.

Do you have to have beans in phase 1? I never included them in my plan.

Im on my third day (phase 1) and I have been tired as well but I'm still working out like I did before. I get really tired sometimes but having my snack before my workout helps a lot! Yesterday I had my snack with lunch and I felt really sick and tired during and after working out. Take it easy!!!

You don't HAVE to have beans in P1, but they are very recommended.

I have been putting garbonzos on my salad and eating veggies with hummus, also having a glass of non fat milk in the evenings. Probly just detoxing off all those nasty carbs, I ate more carbs than anything else before =(

Even reading the SB book it says take the exercise really easy in Phase 1 because your body isnt used to working out without all the extra carbs. I drink lots of water, or have a piece of cheese before.

Day 3/4 of Phase 1 is the worst. I was tired, cranky from giving up caffeine, and craving carbs the worst, but it totally passes. I am in the 4th week of Phase 1.

I'm not tired anymore at all, and I'm on day 10 of phase 2. It does pass.

It'll get better as time passes. If you're too tired to work out, just take it easy. Maybe a leisurely stroll or some swimming??? Anything is better than just laying around the house watching TV, right??? Ooh...what about yoga??? That can be very relaxing and it always re-energizes me!!!

Oh thank goodness I'm not the only one. I'm on day 4 of phase 1 and each day that passes I just keep getting more and more tired. I'm at the point where I'm so out of energy that old women with their walkers are passing me by on the street. I literally need to sit down after climbing a flight of stairs.

It doesn't help that just the thought of protein is making me nauseous either. Just the thought of eating eggs or chicken yesterday made me so ill that I think I only consumed about 900 calories because I couldn't stomach it anymore. I hope this passes because I really need to detox from carbs and sugar. Before I started SB, I was craving them so much and so badly that I would literally start to shake.

I had a day like that yesterday. I just could not eat, I was not hungry at all! By evening I was very lightheaded....NOT GOOD! Forced myself to eat and started feeling better. Today woke up famished! Week one down, lets hope I can make it through the next one. God Luck Onsecondthought!
