I cant believe this challenge is almost over and I have been such a dud.

Well, I am taking my life back today. I will get in my workouts. I will watch my calories. I make the choices in my life no one else.

W 80 oz
E 10 minutes of abs done. Walk to the Y for swim lessons tonight
E 1300 cals
D Keep up the motivation I woke up with.

Today is Day 1.

Good Morning, all!

Jeni, thanks for the new thread. I'm glad you've turned a corner and are going on so well!

We're still hoping for rain. We got a few, little drops yesterday, but that 60% never came this way. Hope you all are getting some.

Today's WEED:

W: 16-20 glasses
E: Watering, walk, Callanetics, rebounding, stretches (that's my usual)
E: Stay on plan!
D: Stay on this plan, too.

Hope you all have a lovely start today!

I love a new Monday morning thread. It gives me a sense of renewal as far as the challlenge. I really do like this WEED concept and you guys are a good group.

Okay, today's big announcement. I was able to squeeze my butt into a pair of pants that haven't fit for months. They don't look great but I wore them to work anyway just because I COULD.

Jeni - love the new attitude.

Silver - we aren't supposed to get rain here until Thursday or Friday. I hope you get your rain sooner than that. Where are you located?

Even though I felt like I hit a plateau on weight loss I really was enjoying my exercise. Between the heat making it too hot to do my walks, not wanting to get on the "dreadmill" and trying to kick start my weight loss I began the 30 Day Shred last Monday.

Today I completed Day 8 and I have noticed it is making a difference. I hope to get through 30 days of this but we'll see. My goal this week with it is to try to do it in the morning before work so I can get outside and walk in the afternoon. Also I would like to try to do level 2 on day 11.

Today's WEED -

W - 64 oz.
E - 30 Day Shred (done) and 3.5 mile walk
E - 1200 - 1400 calories
D - ironing

Have a good WEED day everyone.

Hey ladies -

Jeni - glad to hear you're feeling motivated!

Silver - still crossing my fingers for some real rain here too!

Popcorn - congrats on the pants!

Did the P90X yoga last night, oh my goodness, it's harder than any yoga class I've taken, there's some pretty advanced stuff in there. There were a couple poses I couldn't do. Still sticking to the diet, DH is working late every night this week so basically I'm on my own. Hopefully will see some more movement in the scale this week - my goal for this challenge was to hit the 150's.

W - 64+
E - P90X
E - on plan, 50-100 g carbs
D - stay sane!

Good Morning, all!

We finally are getting some rain. Maybe it'll put off more of the leaves falling. I'm not quite ready for autumn yet.

Today's WEED:
W: 14 - 20 glasses
E: usual
E: Stay on plan.
D: Keeping God's perspective instead of getting caught up in this and that.

I wish you all a very sweet day.

Jeni- We don't have to worry about you. You know what you're doing.

Popcorn- Have fun with Shred. I love it. It might be tough, but it's short.

I did a 3 mile run last night. Ran almost the whole thing, just took a few teenie walk breaks. Scales verdict- 175.4 Not bad after the drinking I did Sat. night.

Morning everyone. Still feeling motivated today. Yesterday was great. Food was awsome. No walk to the Y for swimlessons, but I did do extra laps and stairs at work so that was worth it.

W 80 oz
E 35 cardio/10 row/15 weights
E 1300 cals. today is a tough one I am off.
D get in my workout.

Didn't get the D of my WEED in yesterday. I must do it tonight though.

Jeni - glad yesterday went well.

Mindy - good job on your workout yesterday. You are right about the Shred being short - that is why I love it.

Mavis - good job on packing the lunch. I have been doing more of that too. I fill the mini fridge by my desk with stuff and also bring things like tuna and healthy bread to keep in a drawer. It really seems to help.

Emily - I want to start doing yoga but haven't been ready to give up some of my other stuff. I keep telling myself I will do it on Sundays but never get around to it. I have a feeling you will hit the 150's during this challenge, only a few more pounds to go.

Silver - are you still getting rain?

So far so good on getting my Shred workout done in the morning. Other than the obvious time crunch in the morning I feel so much better starting my day off with exercise.

Today's WEED -

W - 64 oz.
E - Shred (done) plus some walking
E - 1200 - 1400 calories
D - a little bit of ironing

Have a good WEED day everyone!

Okie dokie. I got in my workout but it was a little shorter than anticipated. I got to the gym a little later than expected because I had to make emergency plans to go to seattle. Will's stepmom and 17 yo bro were in a car accident and his S-mom is unconsious with water on the brain. his bro has a broken arm. All prayers are appreciated. We are waiting for his Grandmother before we leave (anytime now.)

Jeni - I'm keeping your family in my thoughts, hope everything turns out OK

Tiara - it's OK, I haven't lost anything at least the last 4 challenges!

Silver, Mavis - hope you guys are having a great day

Popcorn - thanks! I really feel like I can make it this time, or at least get very close.

Today, I veered a little off course - I went to the farm market before I picked up the kids, got them both chocolate chip cookies (big ones) as treats. Connor didn't want his, he wanted the peaches I bought instead, I only gave Desmond half (19 months old...big chocolate cookie...you get the visual). So I ended up eating them tonight - now I feel like utter crap, bloated and gross. Oh well, the discomfort is a lesson learned I guess. Back to my normal food tomorrow. And I had green curry for lunch, which is fine, but I had the rice with it as well. A bit over my carb goal today I think!

tomorrow WEED:
W - 64+
E - P90X
E - back on plan 100%
D - tidy up the house, take care of recycling & donations, me time in there somewhere?

Good Morning, all!

Tiara, am sending you lots of good thoughts. Three pounds gone is good. Much better than three pounds collected!

Jeni, I'm keeping your family in my prayers that all recover very well. Take good care on your trip.

Popcorn, we had rain day before yesterday. Was nice not to have to water. Yesterday was cloudy, and a nice bit cooler. The leaves are falling now. I'm not picking them up by hand anymore. Too many. Will wait for a pile and start the raking. Nice to have a break from mowing before the raking begins. I think the next place I live must have no lawn and no trees. Rocks and cactus would be good. Hope the weather is behaving in your area.

Emily, Mothermavis, Mtiger,

Am glad I cleaned up my food plan a bit, am back on the "losing path" and feel much happier. I really like making steady progress. It's encouraging.

Today's WEED:

Water: min. 16 glasses
E: usual
E: scrumptious stuff on plan
D: A day of thankfulness and enjoying life.

I wish you all a lovely beginning this morning.
