Talking Are there any college-aged ladies on here?

Hey everyone!

I'm eighteen years old, and I finally stopped creeping around this site for one reason: to create an account and ask this question. I'm talking anyone from 17 to 20-something... any other young adults who are also struggling with their weight. I would love to meet more people who are trying to lose more than just five pounds (although, if that's what you're trying to do, more power to you, I'm just saying : P); especially when I'm about to leave town for school!

Not in college, but will be a senior this year. 17. I'm currently 211... started at 215... well... to be honest... almost three months ago. *hides face* totally embarassing that I've only lost four pounds since then. BUT... I'm trying to get back on track. I've been wanting to meet more people as well... hence my thread I recently made looking for an accountability partner.

I'm sure we're here... it's just all these... WONDERFUL... 40-something ladies are far more active.

(hehe... just kidding... there's a huge variety of wonderful people who are active... old and young)

I'm 20(almost 21) and I've been on 3FC since I was 19. Even though you're 18, you are more than welcome to bop on over to the 20 somethings thread. I started posting there far before I was 20.

Nice to meet you!

Hey! I'm 22. I don't have a lot to lose anymore, but I've come a long way!

I'm 19! I'm still living at home (finishing up gen. ed. credits at the local community college before I transfer), but I can definitely sympathize with the difficulty of losing weight while trying to deal with classes, homework, etc...

Good luck with your journey!

Hi lumosmaxima!

I'm 19, and going to be a sophomore in college in the fall. I don't have much more to lose but definitely more than 5 pounds.

Welcome!

Hey guys!
This makes me so happy : ) I'm going to college in the fall, but I've been at boarding school for the past two years (junior/senior year) and it's definitely hard to keep going with the work while you're at school. These past two years have been all falling off the wagon and getting back on...
but now I've got about fiveish weeks before I go to college, and I'm determined to get myself together to be able to make healthy decisions in college. Anybody have any tips on this? My main problem is food - working out is generally not a problem (I actually enjoy it...).

My real name is Paige, btw : )

and congrats to everyone who has lost weight/working hard! You guys are SO inspirational!

I'm 22 and I just finished my degree. But i'm still in school to get my teaching credential. And I clearly have more than five lbs left

Good luck!

We have a support forum here on 3FC for 20-somethings, many of which are college students. You can find great support and camaraderie there! I am also a college student (a graduate student) and a 20-something. So come on over and check it out!

Hey girls! I'm 21 and just finished undergrad and am currently getting my masters! I JUST STARTED this 3FC/my workout program, and thus I have about 70 pounds to go! I'm getting married next May (9 months), so I have some big motivation to lose this stubborn weight once and for all.

I was always the heavy girl in school, and it sucks even more to be unhappy with yourself throughout college. GOOD FOR ALL OF YOU girls that are trying to lose it before/during your college experience. Don't gain that freshman 15!

Let's tag team up and motivate each other. I'm a little older than some of you, but it doesn't matter because we all have one goal: to lose weight.

We've got this!

Sorry for double posting, but I have a question for Hamoco:
I see that you've lost 72 pounds! GOOD FOR YOU! Can I ask you these questions: how long did it take you, do you have any before/during/after pics that you'd be willing to share, and do you have your eating/working/dieting schedule that you'd be willing to share? I'm still in the market for ideas on how to finally lose this weight, and I could use all the help I can get!

Congrats! -Caroline

I'm 20 and in college, pre-nursing.

Welcome to 3FC! You've found yourself a really good support system here. I've found it to be a little challenging losing weight while in college. Everyone is about late night Mexican food runs and parties on the weekends. I've had to completely avoid a lot of social gatherings just because I know if I go I'll drink or eat junk food. It's worth it though!
