Default Back on Track, Fell off the wagon a little :(

I got back today from our camping trip. We had lots of fun and I planned to eat at maintenance levels for the five days. Well..I let temptation get the best of me and I fear the scale is going to show the damage . I ended up eating all my "planned" treats and I was doing well until the second day when we decided to get icecream from the little store at the campground. They had this icecream called gold medal ribbon which I have never heard of (french vanilla, milk chocolate and amazing caramel combined) I asked for a small cone and she ended up making a HUGE icecream for me. I tried giving some away but everyone already had more than enough. That cone was delicious and I was hooked on that flavor and ate the whole thing. I ended up making excuses to myself that I was on a break and could have a cone a day. I bet I did some damage there. There were a couple smores, chips, a turnover and some pasta salad on top of my maintenance level foods. I did try to stay active and did laps in the pool when I could. I feel kind of bummed that I messed up. Am I going to be able to hold it together when I hit maintenance

I was planning on watching my intake today and easing back into calorie counting and logging tomorrow. I scraped that plan and got my food scale and log out as soon as I got home this morning. I am finding it a bit tricky and I am craving desert tonight but I won't give in. I just wanted to be accountable here and explain why my ticker might not be moving for a bit. I will know the damage in a day or two..darn. Exercise will resume tomorrow when I am done recovering from some sun stroke

First of all, I am glad you had a good time

Second of all, don't beat yourself up. Just be glad you're jumping back on track now and not letting this keep you down

After thought: after looking at the 100 pictures I took, I can't believe how far I have came in my weight loss. I no longer hide behind the camera. Here is a picture from last year's trip. It was at the same location. I had to try hard just to find a picture because I used to hate the camera!

Last Year:

This year:

You look great! And congratulations for recognizing that you made a small mistake (or maybe no mistake at all) and getting right back on track. That's the first step to maintenance IMO.

there is something i have read several times about refeeding. And I think that is what you subconsciously did. I don't see anything wrong with it. Glad you enjoyed your break. And glad you enjoyed that scrumptious ice cream cone.

you are beautiful and you can see you hard work in those pictures! You ARE back on plan! good job! your family is also beautiful.

i love to camp myself.

I am in the exact same situation. I'm on vacation now. I was planning on staying on track. I brought my own food and my scale with me. After day 2 i kind of gave up and decided to eat what everyone else was having. I'm going home tomorrow and i plan to get right back on track. I bought the 30 day shred and i'm going to start that monday morning. Try not to worry about it too much. It might actually shock your metabolism and cause a little woosh. Thats what i'm hoping will happen anyway. Ps. I love your bathing suit.

SweetnLow, you look great! I'm so happy for you that you enjoyed your family vacation! Your kids (so cute!) will have tons of happy memories of your annual camping trips regardless of what you ate or what size you were. You're their mom and they love you regardless!
