Default reached a plateau?

I seem to be plateauing in my weight loss. While in my mine I know I shouldn't let it frustrate me, its hard not to feel disappointed. I guess I am looking for support for what to do when you plateau?

Both times that I plateaued I changed everything -- new diet (there are lots of healthy ones out there, I figured why not try a few and see what else I might like) and different exercises (usually new videos or, now, new games for the Wii).

If you don't want quite that much change, I think what really worked from that is:
1. being more attentive to what I ate (a new diet did it for me, but recording everything in a website like My Plate or FitDay or SparkPeople would do the same)
2. reducing calories by 100-200 calories (the new diet tricked me into doing that when I was resisting with the old plan)
3. a change in exercising (more or less strength training, more or less aerobic)

Hope that helps! There have been other posts in the last month or so about plateaus in this section. You might want to take a look at those.

I personally don't believe in plateaus when you have more than 20lbs to lose. Something isn't adding up. Be religious about your caloric intake and intensity of your exercise. Make sure not to adapt to your regimen. Switch it up Have variety in your food as well. With that, everything should workout fine.

I'm with MissKelly. Can you give us some insight to your daily menu and exercise routines? How long have you been on this "plateau"?

Based on your previous posts, you have been losing

Quote:
Sw: 193.6
Gw: 185

7/3 - 193.6
7/4 - 192.8
7/5 - 192.4
7/6 - 191.8
7/7 - 191.0
7/8 - 190.4
7/9 - 189.8
That is 4lbs in the past 2 weeks, I don't see a plateau there.

I don't know how to post a link to another thread, but the OP is contributing to a daily weigh in thread in the 20 something group which is where I got those number from.

Over 1% of her body weight a week? That isn't even slow.

I wasn't doubting you, but I do think you realize that.

Yes, if those are indeed your numbers that is not a plateau. If you feel like it's too slow, which I hope you don't, we really can't comment with suggestions without seeing your food/exercise plan.
