not being recognized - NSV
So yesterday I went to this cookout and I saw some friends (and friends of friends) that I haven't seen in a long while. There was a girl there that I've met maybe 3 or 4 times in the past and when I said hello and called her by her name she asked me where we had met. When I told her my name she said "you look totally different! I didnt recognize you!". It made me feel pretty good.

WTG! Isn't it bizarre though? We see ourselves every single day, and have a tendency to focus on our own imperfections. Sometimes it takes being seen by someone who still holds our "old" image in their mind's eye before we realize how truly different we look!

Hahaha, me too....I keep catching myself wanting to rewind the radio when the people on NPR say something I didn't quite catch!
