Thanks

I tried to find the book on Amazon but they don't have that title by that author and Amazon usually has everything. I have heard of it but can't think of where. There is another similar book by a different author. I think you eat normal one day and very low cal another. I couldn't stick to that.

I think it is something you have to get online.......not a book.

I haven't heard of this one specifically, but there's something called 'eat-stop-eat' that's an e-book and a few other intermittent fasting programs. Fast-5 is popular and free (http://www.fast-5.com) - the idea of this one is to fast a portion of the day; you have a 5 hour window of your choosing that you consume all of your food/calories in.

That doesn't sound very healthy. Almost sounds like binging and purging.

Well, there's no purging, so not really.

There's some science to the idea of these shorter fasting periods. I don't know if agree with it all, it's certainly controversial, but it's not based on fad dieting. It is based on health and insulin and they're intended more as a way of life than as a short term diet, usually.
