Default Salad spinner to dry Tofu Shirataki noodles??

Has anyone tried using a salad spinner to dry the tofu shirataki noodles? Last time I used paper towels they kept falling apart and bits of the towel would stick to the noodles making a mess.

Was wondering about the salad spinner? Would the noodles "mush up" while spinning??

Just a thought?

Although I don't have an answer, I'm so glad you asked that question. Just last night, I made shirataki and really wanted to dry the noodles in order not to be left with an inch of liquid in my bowl! However, my attempt to dry the angel hair noodles with paper towels left a huge mess - they're kinda sticky little suckers! I had thought of using a salad spinner, but I'm thinking that would be even messier. I wonder if using the fettucine size noodles might be the answer, although I like angel hair much better. Hope someone has an answer!

Default Salad Spinner WORKED!!!!

Hi Everyone -

Ok, I asked the question and then decided to give it a try. I didn't want to end up with a sticky mess that happens with paper towel blotting.

The salad spinner worked! After rinsing them a lot, I put them thru the salad spinner three times (emptying the liquid each time) then put them in the microwave for 1 minute. Then I repeated the three times with the salad spinner.

It worked great!!!!!
