Is it an omen when you try to go to aerobics, but. .
the first class is cancelled? It was called "Free to be Fit" (i.e., for fat ladies!), and I worked up the courage to go. I exercise daily, but I decided I wanted to add something in the evening to avoid sitting around after dinner. Had a light dinner early and had my DH drive me down. Another woman was waiting, too, and she said she'd really had to push herself to put on exercise clothes and come down to the Y. We waited and waited, and finally I checked at the front desk. Nobody knew why the instructor hadn't come, but I looked down and taped well below eye level to the right of the desk was a notice the class was cancelled. Nobody had told the receptionists!
You should have seen how happy the other woman was--kind of funny. The nice thing was that she drove me home so I wouldn't have to wait around. I thought of all the "rules" I was breaking driving home with a stranger, but she is the first person I've actually met since I moved here four months ago.
I do plan to go to tomorrow's class if the instructor isn't sick again.
