Default Next Monday?

I can't be the only one that's done this. Do very well on your eating plan, follow it and exercise, mess up, and then go "oh well, I'll just restart on Monday with a clean slate and be PERFECT again". Cause I sure have done it. I still AM doing it. And I've gained weight because I went a little off on Memorial day weekend and just gave up the rest of the week. NO. NOT AGAIN. I've got to learn to break the black and white thinking.

Has anyone else experienced the "I'll start over again on Monday" syndrome???

Yes. I am not sure how to break it. For me, I just decided that my health could no longer wait for "Monday" so I made my health a top priority. Good luck

I next Monday'd myself up to nearly 300 lbs. I don't have that problem this time around. I'm not sure what's different other than A) being medicated (for real - Wellbutrin really helps with my food obsession/binging) and B) Decided not to consider things like Mother's Day brunch and Christmas Dinner to be off plan, even if I go over my usual calories.

Ugh, I did so well last summer and I keep losing/gaining the same 20 pounds. I just cannot break through that 20 pounds barrier and I am having such a hard time getting started again! I need to find my motivation, commitment, and start posting here more. I guess I am just frustrated that I can't really stick with it very well

I actually had a day like that today, just emotionally draining and went off plan.
Im totally a 'next monday' person - but today I made the choice that it's not next monday, it's next meal.
I put down what I was snacking on, got myself a glass of water and browsed the forum for some much needed support - to which I have to say THANK YOU to everyone on here, I couldn't imagine getting through days like today without having this place.

So that's my new plan. It's not next monday or tomorrow, instead it's stop the bad choices and begin again with the next meal making the healthy ones.
I don't know if that will at all help, I hope it does, it's just what I decided to do today.

Oh geez, constantly! I have those days all the time, even with exercise. But I've begun telling myself..what is more important to me..this meal that I am choosing to let ruin my diet for the weekend or the decision to not let it ruin my weekend and keep working forward to my size 9! I always tell myself that...which is more important, this burrito or my size 9's (of course you fill in the blank with whatever is more important to you).
